  1. going to try and see the exhibit this summer...with my folks...who don't know i have any tattoos...keeping my back and side hidden has been easy...my 1/2 sleeve...not.so.much. :)

My mother didn't find out until I was in my 30's. She came to visit and I had just jumped out of the shower when she knocked on the door. I knew it was her and didn't want her to wait as she drove from SF to Vegas. I opened the door and she said, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?!.... I broke the news that I've had them since I was 19 and it's time she knows.... During my most recent and meaningful pursuit of tattoos she was supportive and knew how much I loved them... Funny how the relationship changes after time.....

  2. I didn't read through the whole thread, but has anyone mentioned Aaron Coleman? He did a quite large sized panther today on my calf ( ditch to ankle) in only 2.25 hrs. Don't worry, pics will be coming soon...

He is very FAST! Have 2 pieces from him in sensitive areas and it wasn't bad at all due to his speed!

  3. @Reyeslv, I just noticed IG postings from @Stewart Robson and your photo tagged on LST. Congratulations to you both on completing this awesome back piece and finishing the thighs. Great work! Where did you finish it? Are you in London visiting again? Commitment! Again, it's a thing of beauty and can't wait to see you two progress on the front.

Thank you for the kind words @Lance , Yes the wife and I are in London. Last getaway of the year. Start the front in March in LA.

  4. Would be nice to see a "tattoo of the year" or "best of lst" thread.

We have a motion on the floor......

Maybe all the winners for 2013 should battle it out in a side competition in January or end of December?! I like this idea.

    And a SECOND....

I vote YES. LST please chime in!!!! I like the Battle Royale of this year's winners!!!!

@hogg and @ivarro what say you?

  5. If you ever do try for that ponytail, be prepared to be called "ma'am" by wait staff. As @hogg and others witnessed this past weekend. Ha!

    BTW, your back piece? Daaaayyyyyyummm!!!

@Reyeslv, I can't wait to see it when you have everything done, the thighs, the front, it's going to be jaw dropping. Didn't see it posted, but what are you planning for the front? Or is that hush hush to keep us all waiting in anticipation? I'm happy to have seen your back in person. It's fantastic!

Thanks @Lance I was looking at reference with Stewart and chose a Samurai fighting a snake. What's funny is at Blackheart they have the drawing on the wall.

This is Chūsenko Teitokuson, the arrow-wounded tiger. This print shows Teitokuson being fatally attacked by a poisonous snake on a mountain path.

  6. Having seen the completed* piece in person on Saturday, I have to interject that photos do it no justice at all. It's a truly stunning tattoo, rife with detail, and I'm lucky I got to see it up close.

*Of course, nothing stays "completed" for long on @Reyeslv!

Thanks for the shout out! @Stewart Robson put a great amount of detail in that bad boy!!!!

Love that Kuniyoshi print, love that back piece.

    Thank you!

  7. You are my role model. Badassery in full effect! Times like this make me wish I went with only one tattoo artist. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming Stewart is the only artist?

Thank you for the kind words.... BADASSERY!!!! Yes Stewart did my entire back and he will be doing the front. He did a trace of my front and we will start in March!

@Reyeslv Man that looks awesome. What's the plan for the thighs?

Mask on the left side and Skull on the right with Stewart's signature. Cherry blossoms throughout.

  8. Here is my Backpiece from @Stewart Robson started in London at FST November 2011. Did sessions in New York at Saved, SOG 2012, FST again in March and July 2013 and complete this past weekend at SOG. So between 2 continents, 3 cities and 60 isn hours this part of the journey is over. The piece is in the process of extending down the thighs and that will be completed at the end of November. Then we begin the front, have the subject picked out and stewart will be taking traces of me today.
