Richard said the same thing about the koi before Nunez pointed it out.... Then he said over half of everybody that tattoos NOW don't look at the shit they are doing... Without being PC I think both black dudes should go home then the girls.... Some of those tattoos were down right retarded, and I hope that Oliver makes just about everyone cry. GOOD TIMES!
I'll take a top chef tat show over a reality tattoo shop, at least people won't be like "I know how they do it at that shop Miami Ink, sooo...." And I will say I didn't and don't watch Miami Ink, LA Ink, or the like... If turning the channel and helping ratings will help our friend, fuck it... I am always on the look out for stuff to make haterade out of, or at least a good laugh.

You know what.... TIME shows you either know how to get it done, and you do, or you don't... Oliver is a fast tattooer, he was taught that way. besides a time limit also shows who does stuff out of the comfy zone well and who doesn't...

Update.... Sorry I have been out of touch, life demanded I put the MAC away..... We are in Los Angeles, CA.... At the moment, True Tattoo doing Friday the 13th Tattoos, and then we have appointments at Spotlight tomorrow, and Sunday, then flying back out to Dallas, to do some routine work on big stuff, and anything else that may pop up, and probably back to Austin, TX to go to the Sign Painters Show going on at a gallery down there....
Then Houston to work and take care of some old family business that needs to be dealt with.... Then San Antonio, either before or after the West Texas Tattoo Convention in San Angelo... in Feb. The SLC tattoo convention in March.... And Back out to Immaculate in Mesa at some point in all that so Richard and Aaron can work on this book project in works....

It's a really well put together project, just watched the second episode and donated some money to the paypal.... I hope to see more stuff like this, that hopefully one day will hit mainstream. . . Gary Martin is even in it for a bit, he's the reason Austin is beautiful...
Gary's got a way of giving his signs and especially his lettering a persona of their own that lends to the over all feel of a place... We are massive Martin Sign Fans.
We just got done doing a little guest spot at Rock of Ages with Tony and Steve, even with cancellations, and almost losing our dog to an adverse vaccine reaction, we still had smiles on our faces and were bummed to leave... Those are good guys, and glad to see 'em...

Oliver Peck is one of the hosts and I guarantee he's not a corporate asshole just in it for the money. Go watch his interview and then come talk shit. I don't know anything about the show really, and I probably won't watch it as I don't watch t.v. at all really.

DHopper: I would say have Bob call Richard...(heads up), and that would take care of itself...
And you can't do shit about what another person does as a individual, but out of mutual respect for fellow tattoo artists you would think there would be some certain understanding as to what to do. Always exceptions to every rule and each instance is in it's own different.
But, Richard just told the guys, do a 1/2 off any tattoo that needs finishing by the person snaking peoples shit... HAHA, it won't happen the boys like to bitch though, don't we all.
