I have an appointment next month with didac (@didactattoo on ig) for a big black panther covered in red hearts. I am so excited! It is going to be my biggest piece so far (about 35 cm)

I think once it heals it will merge into the older piece :) it looks great! It's probably that """regret""" that we sometimes have after getting tattooed!

Seems like the skin is overworked, or your skin simply did not like the ink. Let it heal and maybe you could get it reworked, if you think it's infected go to the doctor but it will be fine!
Sometimes this kind of stuff just happens.

5 + years later update. What an absolutely wild ride tattooing is.

Coming out of hibernation. It's been a while since I had fresh ink. A couple years. Have some nice real estate on my left arm that is crying out for a flag motiff. It took a while to get an appointment with all the virus craziness. August 28th is on the books. Waiting for my artist to get back to me on his interpretation of the Betsy Ross flag.

If you know Spanish there is this channel which goes pretty in depth on the tattoo artists' way of life, their interests and how they developed their style (mostly neo traditional artists) https://www.youtube.com/c/NeoTraditionalSpain
Vice and Inked channels also have a series on tattoo styles. It is pretty basic and l am not really into it but maybe it can serve you as a starting point.
Aaaaand maybe Grace Neutral's documentary can also help you since it portraits how tattooing is not yet accepted everywhere in the world.
hope it helped!

this is a thing for me,I believe face, neck, and hand tattoos are earned after being heavily tattooed on other parts of the body.

Hey guys.
In like 2016 a film student made a video of an old session of mine getting waves and leaves added to my turtle by Takashi Matsuba in his old studio. Thought I'd post some stills from the video here. The video's locked, but it's cool.

Lots of artists create digitally - nothing wrong with that. The question is - what do you want to do with your end product? There is a large quantity of traditional hand painted flash out in the world, so if you're thinking about selling digital traditional flash I'd be surprised if there is a market.

Hygge. reacted to Dan in Can you guys help me choose between these two artists?
I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

That looks incredibly hot. I wouldn't change a thing. In my experience when people start monkeying around with a tattoo, the make it worse way more often than they improve it.
There is a difference between simple and boring. Yours is simple, but not boring.

I wouldn't monkey around with it. It is pretty as it is.

Hygge. reacted to SJP0tato in Do I have to like an artists full portfolio?
Looks like a couple of the lighter ones are healed (or at least partially healed).
They'll always appear super dark initially, but mellow once healed.
-
Hygge. reacted to Hogrider in Hello... what did I do wrong?
Must be these tired old eyes. What do you think you did to it? Looks like you're using too much lotion.
Tattoos take 4 - 6 weeks to heal, if it's not that old, then there is NOTHING you can do but wait.
