I've made the 7-8 hour drive from montreal to brooklyn new york twice of late. Once in july and again in october. I went to Smith Street both times as well as getting an appointment with Bailey Robinson on my last trip. In my opinion it has been totally worthwhile. There are some very good tattooers in mtl, but nobody is putting out work that is so representative of that style.

Just finished up about 30 minutes ago. Now enoying a nice cold pint of Perroni.

I am in the process of cleaning/clearing my house out and was cleaning off some of my alters when I rediscovered all sorts of old gems. One particular piece I thought some here would enjoy is an old unused Temple Tattoo Gift Certificate from I think when the shop first opened. I have included pictures below....

That's a shame because there are a lot of women doing a lot of good things in tattooing over the age of 30. Really when you think about it, a lot of people are just hitting their stride. I don't have much use for most tattoo magazines and their perception of beauty. If most can't even tell the difference between a good and bad tattoo, I don't consider them a credible authority on judging attractiveness in general.

yup but how many over the age of 30 do you see on those cover? what i mean is if people are the type to judge you for having tattoos it doesn't matter if you're hot because to those people you're ugly

The thing about Mark Wahlberg getting lasered because he was 'concerned about the message he was giving his kids' is old news. I'd never really seen his tattoos before, but clearly that message he was avoiding giving his kids was "Dad makes horrible tattoo choices":

Ugh those dudes have some real shitty tattoos. They also said they chose the name "just because it sound cool and we're cool"
I want to fucking punch them. I don't understand when it switched from liking music because it is good to liking a band because they look cool/are ironic. I don't care how fucking ironic it is to listen to a shitty band, they still suck dicks.
I should note I've never listened to this band other than that video, and I didn't like what I heard. Their attitude towards making art is bullshit. "We don't try to evolve and do something different we just make the same thing we made before" Take your hipster accent (obviously not every european is a hipster but i can't help but think their accents helped them get popular here), your shitty ironic t-shirts and get fucked.

My next chad tattoo will be an eagle....hes doing my favorite eagles hands down right now. But damn...many do an amazing eagle and when they are done right they are unfuckwithable. This topic is getting me excited to get mine.

I had the honor of getting a Peony tattooed by @Stewart Robson last night at SFO. What a great guy (and obviously world class artist)...awesome time talking with him. Amazing experience sitting there being tattooed while artist after artist came up to greet Stewart/Valerie and check out what they were doing. I was being tattooed by Stewart right next to Valerie tattooing a girl while watching Mike Rubendall and Henning Jorgensen tattoo about 10 feet away. Insane!
If Stewart doesn't put something up, I'll try to get a good picture when it heals.
