Yeah If you are willing to go big, I am sure you could cover it and end up with a nice tattoo. Usually people who want coverups don't realize how big the cover tattoo will need to be, but it sounds like you know what you are in for. The only downside is once you get that big tattoo on your side, you other side will feel so empty and you will want a big tattoo their too.

Dumpleton got a reaction from missStark in Most painful spot to get tattooed
Last week I got all worked up over getting work done on my chest and it wasn't so bad.
Yesterday I went in confident thinking it would be ok and was soon put in my place, some days getting tattooed just sucks no matter where on the body it is.

My Mom's been asking when I'd get one for her. I had wanted Ashley Love to do it, so now that summer is over, I made an appointment. Mom was stoked when I showed her. I believe her exact words were "I love it! I don't like that you get tattooed, but I love the design". :)
Looks like a leg, but that's my forearm.

Got this on Thursday at Blackheart by Dan Gilsdorf. What a great shop and amazing experience. All the guys were great and even offered to let me hang out and explore the shop for the day, but thought it would be better to give my wife a break from our son for a bit. Spider Murphy's was great as well. I would highly recommend both shops not just on talent but just as good people.

Ok here goes. Goofy dragon by Marie Sena (who happens to be the nicest person in the universe) done at the Montreal tattoo convention yesterday. This takes up most of the front of my thigh and only took three hours! She is a wizard. It was a fantastic experience.
Inspired by the 100-year-old piece of flash that I gushed about here.

I just got this tattooed at the Montreal convention by Mike Rubendall.
We did 4.5 hours last night, and then finished it in an hour this morning.
I'm so pleased with it.

Spur of the moment decision when my artist posted on Instagram that he had many cancellations and was open ... Had been thinking of getting a nurse head / rose of no man's land for a while so I had him draw something up. Love her!
Here she is, super fresh and a little beat up looking:
By Steve Whittenburger at Rock-a-billy Tattoos in South Florida.
And yeah, she already has some stubble ... Like I said, I hadn't planned on this when my day got started. lol.

Is this a serious thread? If it is I would recommend for you to not get tattooed at all until you do a lot of research.
Dig deep into this forum read and watch everything posted, I suggest starting with the artist interviews and looking through the galleries.
Seems like you are taking the piss to me, stop posting and do more reading.

Welcome to the board.
Good advice there from @slayer9019 to which I would add that there's a tattoo convention in Toronto in June with some really great artists attending, and it would probably be a good idea to attend that to get an idea of what sorts of tattoos are out there, plus it will give you the chance to look at the portfolios of plenty of tattoo artists and talk with them in person about your ideas without having to trek all around town. What style are you looking at? Traditional? Japanese? Black and grey? Realistic colour? Hard to recommend a shop without knowing that.
I would also like to add that cost should never be an important consideration. Find a great design and tattoo artist whose work you love and if you have to wait longer to save the money, live on a tighter budget, pick up extra shifts at work, etc., then so be it, because at the end of it all, money is only money and it comes and goes and a tattoo is on you for life.
