Keep it clean, give it a few weeks. It'll be fine.

I've had it before and it goes away in time. Looks gnarly for a bit, but it'll disappear.
I don't think it an allergic reaction to the adhesive: if that were the case I think it would be a much bigger area that is affected. I think it has to do with the edge moving many times very slightly during normal wear which eventually creates a blister.

Hey!
in Initiation
My unsolicited opinion: get a classic Japanese tattoo theme to represent that sentence you want. It'll be awesome and you won't have to worry about a poor translation.
What I really mean is: GET A TIGER! Or a tiger fighting something. Or growling at the (unholy) wind. Or lightening. Lots of lightening.

Not sure if anyone posted about this previously. Is anyone planning to attend the 'Tatau' exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in LA? Opens in a couple weeks, July 30.
Yes! Definitely want to check this out, but not sure when. Probably late summer (Sept?)

NO PARENTS NO RULES
JUST LOTS OF TATTOOOOOOOOOOOOS
But seriously, I like @Graeme's suggestion for scoring.
Other than that, keep it wide open! If the turn out is huge, then maybe some broad categories like:
Arms / legs / front (torso) / back.
Stoked on this!

In order to find the best things in life (food, music, people, tattoos, whatever-the-fuck you're into) you have to give a damn beyond a cursory level. You've got to put in some work. Most people don't want to do this in my opinion. More so if they're not going to be into tattoos as a continued hobby.
Or they're just busy with other things that are more important to them. They probably don't understand why one would settle for a terrible interest rate on a loan or something...

fun spur of the moment tattoo from Jesse Calderon, 2nd year apprentice at Modern Times Tattoo in Spotswood, NJ. Young, talented, determined and super cool tattooer. Was also the first time that I was getting tattooed until 3am. Cross that off the bucket list ;)
Fire Ant Attack
YES!!! This is so cool. I read the short story "Leiningen Vs the Ants ( http://www.classicshorts.com/stories/lvta.html) when I was a kid and it left a huge impression on me. I want an ant tattoo now! Man, I've said it before but you get the coolest tattoos. Talk about doing it right...

I agree with everyone else. I honestly couldn't figure out what you were talking about until the 3rd or 4th look at it. Doesn't effect the impact of that tattoo at all IMO.

I gave him two ideas for what I wanted but it seems he was more into a battle royale Tiger and Snake. With some other elements I asked him to incorporate.
Super excited!!!!
YES! Can't go wrong with Tiger and Snake. Have one of those in progress myself...
That's gonna be awesome.

You mentioned Regino Gonzalez. See him and don't look back...

This quote is rife with great tattoo ideas:
"I’ve wrestled with alligators,
I’ve tussled with a whale.
I done handcuffed lightning
And throw thunder in jail.
You know I’m bad.
just last week, I murdered a rock,
Injured a stone, Hospitalized a brick.
I’m so mean, I make medicine sick" -
