The tattoo picture that gets posted in this thread for June 2015 with the most 'likes' for the month wins! The contest starts on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month.

• Your tattoo picture must be posted in this thread (both tattooers and tattoo customers can win) in order to qualify.
  
• Include with your photo/post...tattoo artist name & tattoo shop.
  
• You MUST be the one who has the tattoo or did the tattoo.
  
• You can 'like' as many tattoos as you want.
  
• It can be a finished or in progress tattoo.
  
• You cannot enter the same tattoo in more than one contest.
  
• There must be at least 5 entries to have a t-shirt winner.
  
• Free shipping for LST shirt winner only w/in USA.

What about clouds and lightning to represent..... clouds and lightning? :cool: If I were you I'd consult a tattooer and tell him/her that you want a tattoo with a thunderstorm theme. Simple as that. Most important thing is to find the right tattooer for the job if you ask me. Plenty of talent in Austin though, so that shouldn't be a problem for you.

If it's a custom tattoo you're referring to, no matter what, you'll be getting an imitation. Probably a shitty one too, as any tattooer with respect for him/herself won't do it. Why not find a tattooer you like, give them an idea of what you want, and get your mind blown when you show up to the appointment and see the linedrawing for the first time? Or just get something off a flash sheet if you wan to see the design beforehand, and don't mind that a lot of other folks wear that same thing.

I have considered it, he does some solid work. I have also considered Nicholas at Bluearms or going to London or something.

I makes me really happy to hear that you're considering Nicholas. He's a really really good tattooer, but for some reason his work doesn't get anywhere near the attention it deserves, I feel. I got a really cool little namakubi from him a couple years ago, and I'm looking forward to getting more tattoos from him in the future. You really should get tattooed by both of them though. Great guys, who do great tattoos.

If you're into traditional/bold tattoos I'll assume you're familiar with Blue Arms Tattoo, Invictus Tattoo and Electric East Tattoo in Oslo. If for some reason you're not, do yourself a favour and check them out. Oh, and I suppose Marius Meyer is known for making a decent tattoo now and again too...

@Marwin3000 I bought Tattooing the Invisible Man last year, and it's mindblowing to say the least. Well worth the 8-900 kroner it will cost you to get it shipped to Norway. Books are exempt from import taxes too, but you probably knew that already.
