the problem is in my opinion is that just because there are more and more tattooers everyday the ratio of hard working creative and original ones are falling off.. part of self promotion is you have to make yourself and your work public. if not no one outside your town would really get to know your work. its obvious valerie is an amazing tattooer, with that comes all the no tallent as clowns who rip everyones shit off. i think its sad that people arent just willing to sit down and learn to draw a girl head with an animal head of their choice. instead to rip it off. then there is the part of a customer wants the exact thing. fine . try to steer them away but if they are persistant dont fucking publish it on the internet.... i love how people are called out on it...

The phones are an every day occurrence. It's always "I wanna get this...." I say, "A blackberry? The iphone is cooler looking, you should get that tattooed on you,"...chirp chirp fucking retards. Nothing against retards. My other one is "Yeah, I have my reference, can I use your computer?" What the fuck? Use your own, spoiled fucks try to put a little effort into it, just a little. If twenty years ago you told me that 90% of everyone I tattooed was gonna bring me a picture of a tattoo they downloaded off the internet as reference I would have laughed my ass off. But I have to say, it save a lot of the "thats not at all what I wanted" crap. Fuck! Where have we come too?

i guess this is a matter of your intention. if you rip it off cuz you dont want to have to draw it i think that sucks but using it to further your kill is somthing everyone does. i ripped off jerry roses till i could draw my own.. but i can draw my own, simple example but its the intention.

this is pretty simple in the act of self promoting you publish your stuff and it is public domain. i dont mean in a legal way but your putting it out there for people to see. this business is full of no talent ass clowns who search hi and low for influences to print off the computer and trace.. haha. as for flash thats the whole point. cant get pissed if someone sucks at doing your designs be glad you dont. you paint them to sell that s the whole deal. now if you look at someones design and try to copy it you are ripping it off, if you look at it and it inspires you to draw eagles all day thats influenced. we are sponges you cant help look at eds eagles and not love the way the wings have tension and try to recreate that energy but not line for line, thats just not right. finally just learn how to draw it stay up all night chain smoke get drunk listen to tom waits bone machine and dig in and learn how malone did it or how ed makes it look easy its up to you and fuck everyone else......much love scott

julio i'm with. you bust your ass to get a clientele and then spend every night at your drawing table doing day of the dead mary sleeves. or koi sleeves with cherry blossoms. could be worse i could be tired of doing cherry creek flash. or i could get up at 4 in the morning and break beef for quarters for three hours then make ground beef and then clean all the cases all in 40 degree cutting room floor. ill stick to finding a anew way to do marys cloke, hahahaha were all jackasses
