I like that on LST we can have civil conversations about Jersey and NYC, one of the biggest rivalries.

@Abhirami Krishnaswamy , can you be a little more clear? If I am reading correctly you are going to be applying henna to tattooed skin. But, then you mentioned buying a machine, and that I think is a bad idea. If you read the forum some more, I think you will see why.

@MadeIndelible If you look in the interview I've mentioned all the people that tattooed me although it's not shown in the video. Also if you want to see specific credit for certain tattoos there are some shots of them in one of the short videos made for FST: On The Shoulders of Giants
Right on, Danny. Actually didn't know that that was you until you posted, but congrats on some great tattoos.

I haven't taken the time to get familiar with Katja's work, but I hear only good things. Definitely post pictures, and, welcome to LST!

tattoo shop down the street from my apartment doesn't look like a tattoo shop. from the side walk you can see the small lobby area. 3 chairs, small table with copier/printer. No reception desk. no portfolios. NO FLASH. NO ART WORK.
I take it you only saw it from the sidewalk for fear of catching bad tattoo cooties from going into the actual building.

Some of your arms? Jesus dude how many do you have!?
Yes corny joke it's late cut me slack
I will pardon your misreading, but I think he said "on," not "of." I've found that knowing when to post on LST is a must. If I'm ever feeling like I'll make an ignorant post, then I shy away from this forum. And, that is not to say that you made a huge mistake, because I have definitely broken that rule a few times.

If there's one LST newcomer poster that I hate, it's the one who pontificates about tattooing while never reading any of the most important threads and posts. That guy is a dick, and I really think they just don't give a shit about keeping this forum true to its original intent, which is discussion of, as @Graeme put it, getting good tattoos. It's fucking simple, people.

I feel really disoriented after sessions with a lot of pain. Almost got lost in NYC after being tattooed three times in two days, because I was so focused on not messing up the bandages and also worrying about the next few days of aftercare.

Can you guys please recommend me a good blackwork/Black-Gray tattoo specialist in New York? I'm looking to get a raven-sleeve on my forearm.
Thomas Hooper's work is amazing and I'd love to get tattooed by him but he's in Texas.
John Sultana, Zach Scheinbaum, and Anderson Luna at Saved Tattoo. Tamara does some rad black and grey as well.
Rich Cahill at NY Adorned.

When I was getting tattooed by Scott, Jeff was telling a story about how he bet a guy twice the price of his tattoo on the dice cage they have at Black Heart. The client lost, and apparently he had been in there getting tattooed four times that week. Not sure if it was for one shots or large scale work. Scott said something to the effect that it was bad karma to win that much money from someone who was filling four appointments per week, but them's the rules of dice cage.

If it's Black Flag with Greg Ginn, don't waste your money.
You're better off seeing Flag with Keith Morris as the frontman.
I saw Black Flag last year solely because Ron Reyes was the frontman, their best IMHO.
Long story short, I had to sit through three "indie" bands that Greg Ginn handpicked for the tour. Total fucking shit. When, Black Flag finally hit the stage, Greg Ginn had a motherfucking theremin that he was fucking with before and after each song. I wanted to strangle that vindictive piece of shit.
Ron Reyes killed it, but I believe they are using Mike Vallely as the singer, because he has that side project with Greg Ginn with sounds like LATER Rollins era flag, which I've always hated.
They're using Mike Vallely on vocals. I've never seen Black Flag, and haven't really been listening to them much, but I saw the show and thought it might be cool. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, I don't know if I'm ready for another tattoo yet, BUT I have something specific in mind that I would like to get from Mr. Koeplinger and it looks like he still has time available in New Hampshire in June. I don't think I'm going to change my mind about what I want, just feeling like healing the last tattoo took a lot out of me. (It's been over a month and it's still healing.) If anyone else here's been in this situation - do you go for it, or is it smarter to wait? I can't see myself being able to travel to Texas any time soon...
Definitely jump on that! It'll be worth all the healing afterwards, and Chad is awesome. Heck, I've gotten tattooed three Wednesdays in a row in the past month. You'll be kicking yourself when he's moved away.

Agreeing with the above posts. Bert said they are usually pretty busy when I got tattooed there. Although, there was a walk-in upside down wrist anchor while I was getting zapped.

You live in the Northeast. Stop by Torchbearer and have Ron do his take on some Higgs flash. You won't be disappointed.
