I've never got the blues directly after a tattoo, I do remember it being odd when I got the first thing on my chest because my eyes would catch it when I glanced down and I wasn't used to it being there.
I did get the blues after the SFO convention, more like go into a mini depression, only because it was such a great trip getting tattooed, watching my Wife get tattooed, hang out and shoot the shit with some of my favorite tattooers, etc. It was so much excitement that when I got home to real life things kinda sucked :(
Right now I'm in the excitement stage, I even have a count down marked on my calendar, for my appt. with Grime. Getting to travel to SF, 2 days in a row with Grime and whatever else I get into, I predict a great few days but I also see getting back home and being a little down for a few days when I get home. Fortunately I'll be able to look forward to a few more trips to finish the tattoo :D

@YOMONEY call alan and ask him, glad it wasnt painful. The laser sessions on my back were definitely man makers
yeah man, the sessions on my back where they didn't use the numbing cream hurt like nothing else I've ever experienced. Pain on a whole new level.

How far is DC from you? You could go see Karl @ Jinxproof. He's got state of the art equipment and he gave me a great quote when I was shopping around...

There are a lot of amazing, creative and innovative tattooers out there right now and I love so much of it.
Its especially great to have so much access to it all through Instagram right now but to answer the thread, no ones tattoos get me excited like Grime's do. I know there are plenty of people that may disagree but in my eyes, that guy can do no wrong. IMO, his work is second to none.
Another that's been continually blowing my mind with pretty much any style, but the Japanese stuff is becoming very creative is our own Stewart Robson. I personally love some of the less traditional Japanese stuff he's been doing lately but the guy can also kill it with the traditional Japanese stuff. I've seen photos of his more traditional stuff but seeing @Reyeslv back in person showed me on a whole other level.

A new pic, the left is from Dec. 9 after one treatment, 2011 and the right is from Dec 13, 2012 after 5 treatments.
When I started this journey the start to the cover up seemed so far away and to think it's a little more than a month away is nuts!
Totally worth it...

Those look like good spots to keep for a bit. Use em as great little squares for fun filler tattoos.I think you might be right. I'm going to have BJ Betts dial in the script on my chest next time he comes to CA, have Jondix do some patterns behind the plane and besides my back which will get started in Jan, those are all I really have left for open spots. I better just be patient and choose wisely :D

I have these 2 awkward spots on my chest and I can't figure out what to get there, I've racked by little brain and it's just an odd, horizontal shape.
I'm probably going to have Jondix do some patterns behind the plane between the wings but I'm stumped on the area between the plane and the red roses.
Any suggestions are appreciated :D

don't settle. If you don't drive, give a friend some gas money or something.
You'll figure it out but until then, be patient :D
