  1. I first found this forum years ago. Mostly lurked and learned. Watched all of the video interviews. And read a lot. Now it seems like a lot of the people who started this forum have little to no association with it anymore. Many amazing tattoo artists used to post here and I miss their opinions and insights. I used to get excited to check out the contest page, lowdown and upcoming tattoos. In my opinion this place isn't what it used to be.

  2. So I used tegaderm for the first time and really liked it. I'm a week from getting the tattoo today. Peeling a bit in the shower etc. I am going to a county fair with my kids tomorrow. My concern is going into the animal areas and on and off ride. Do you guys think putting some tegaderm to avoid any possibility of infection. Just being concerned.

  3. Pretty sure the correct answer is HAIL SATAN

Finished up a leg with Lehi. First two sessions at Blackheart, final session at Temple. Last year I got tattooed by Stewart Robson at Blackheart and I was saying I wanted to get some big work from Tim. Stewart told me flatly that I had to get a tiger.

Turned out Ok I guess, if you're into that sorta thing...

This is about 3 weeks healed (photo taken today). From his IG

    This is amazing tattoo! Congrats

  4. Mkay, so any recommendations on which shops are best for a walk in, traditional tattoo in Portland? I'm going to try Atlas first, but wanted a back up plan if they don't have time.

For once I actually have time, spare cash, and am in a spot with good shops!

From my research I would suggest Historic, Artwork Rebels, Fortune or Blacklist Gallery. They all in addition to Atlas seem to be good choices.

  5. The photo of the snake and frog under Alex was posted by Matt Howse a few weeks ago from his Instagram account I believe Matt is the artist.

In the storm of crap, sometimes it's nice to recognize the newcomers who are doing well and give us things to look forward to for the future of tattooing. Here are some tattooers who have been at it 5 years or less and are doing some really great work. Feel free to add!
  6. Hey I was wondering why it seems like all or a lot of tattoo artist hate the police? Does this go back to the roots of punk music etc? I see ACAB or all pigs must die. I am a police officer so is my brother and our father. I have tattoos and so does my brother. The city I work for is pretty liberal no policy against tattoos unless racist etc. I work with people who have full sleeves. I am interesting to hear from artist and other collectors on their thoughts or opinions other then to tell me to fuck off and die. Honestly I plan on getting more tattoos but not from someone who hates me because of my chosen profession. I have had bad service eating dinner out occasionally but I don't hate all waiters. I understand some police officers give a bad reputation to the honest hand working ones out there.
