Just saw this on reddit today.

I do machine shop work on the side.... I had been working on these really close-tolerance parts for a another shop over a year ago. It turns out that some of them are on the Mars craft that is actually now on Mars. How can you beat that? I found out about it last week.

So here a a couple of pictures of what I got on my west coast trip. They are all healed up now.
The dragon is by Jeff Rassier of Black Heart Tattoo. Juan Puente did the sugar skull at the same shop, an hour later!
The week after I got Stuart Cripwell to do the moth. While I was a Spider Murphy's I picked up their flash book which is quite beautiful as well as getting two new sheets of flash.
I just got the sheets home from the frame shop. They look awesome on my wall!
The three tattooers were super friendly, I would highly recommend all three of them for your tattoo needs!

Nope. The whole "tattoo acceptance in the workplace" movement (or whatever it is) rubs me the wrong way. Sure, I'd prefer someone judge my work performance on its own merit and not pass me over for a promotion because they know I have tattoos, but i certainly don't expect them to cater to me. Want me to keep my arms covered at work? Cool, you got it. Don't want to hire someone with a throat tattoo? Cool, I'll keep that in mind and weigh how much I want a position with Company X vs. how much I want to tattoo my throat. And when people call it discrimination and compare it to being denied a job due to race or gender or orientation, it REALLY pisses me off. To me tattoos are supposed to be tough and somewhat unaccepted, and every special snowflake expecting to be catered to drives me nuts. It's awesome if you have a job that is cool with your tattoos...my current one happens to be, but if my boss ever asked me to keep my sleeves rolled down, it wouldn't be an issue.
Also, it seems that most of the people clamoring for "tattoo acceptance" have absolute shit tattoos and most people with quality work don't mind covering up when needed.

I've been tattooed on the butt, both sides of the knee , the chest, but the worst by far is the palm. Not even a contest. Don't believe me here is one of the toughest guys I've ever seen get tattooed, just anguishing in pain.

Squidpants...a "squid" is a sailor, and we all know those wild and crazy sailors get tattoos all over!

On the ship they call my my leg full of tattoos a "peg leg" so I guess that could work for a single leg sleeve.

Huge thanks, @Dan S! I know that many LSTers will likely look at those images and shudder at the quality of the artwork--I'll admit that I'm not jonesin' to wear a lot of what's shown there--but I still love it and recognize that those folks really paved the way for people like me.
It's funny to look at the relatively small scale of some of those tattoos as compared to the full backpieces/sleeves/suits people get left and right these days, but it's important to remember just how insane that stuff was at the time. And the ladies with face tattoos...my god, I can't even get my head around how nuts that must've been!
And how funny is this? An old friend emailed me last night with a Wild Bill story. He's the guy with the full suit (largely by Ed Hardy) posing with two naked ladies in your third pic down.

Short attention span and a pain-in-the-ass scanning setup. I'm gonna post the front and back cover, and about 20 pages, and see if y'all think it's worth doing. There are A LOT of pages in the mag, so it may be better if I scanned it into a PDF and gave it to an admin to set-up as a download?

Calf done by Marco Hernandez while he was over at Electric Tattoo. Based on a design from an old tattoo international. SO FUCKING AMPED.
