Dan reacted to Shaggy in How do ribs and side compare to full back?
I am in the same position as you. I recently finished my back (neck to knees) and now starting on continuing onto front. So far I am 9 hours in on my right front and not loving it at all. I have already done chest plates on both side so the work is from nipples down. Definitely not loving the process but the end justifies the means. My thoughts are all tattooing sucks but if you made it through your back then you will make it through your front. :)
The thing I love about tattooing is, moments after each session of tattooing has finished the majority of the pain is over. Healing sucks but at least it doesn't hurt. :)
Cheers
Jason.

I don't have any back work done, but this was a 9 hour one shot, and I made it through,a little endorphin high, but I made it,like was said,if you have your back done, you will be fine with a side/rib piece.

Dan got a reaction from Gingerninja in How often would you get tattooed?
since we're doing ages,I should add, I'm an old guy at 56.
and yes,I would get tattooed every month if I had room on my body and funds to pay for it.

Thanks for letting us know.
That is something that will be resolved when we launch the new site.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi I did see that we should expect to experience some bugs etc with site maintenance and was wondering if this was one. I have noticed my responses dont post just the once. They automatically double post to the thread (so there will be my response, then a line that says updated and the exact same response under it).
I hadnt noticed it happening to anyone else though.
Just thought I would let you know it was happening though.
Cheers.

stop using vaseline, maybe just use a little fragrance free Lubriderm, but let it breath to heal.from that pic, looks ok.

I think i'm moving into that a phase where i think 3-4 pieces a year would work
maybe do that for a while and go from there
i'm not sure if i need to be completely covered either
havent had to seriosuly think about it as i'm not that close to that kind of coverage
even though i have about 30 pieces - most of which are decent size
i'm no fan of summertime heals
like a fall, winter, spring maybe a 4th thrown in somwhere? sounds cool

Dan reacted to sourpussoctopus in Problem
Seriously, it looks ok. It will feel dry for a while, then it will peel, then the new skin will feel a little more sensitive, and then it will feel normal again. You need only a little bit of fragrance-free lotion 2-3 times a day once it starts to peel. Just be patience, sweet summer child.

Dan reacted to marley mission in In this thread, we commiserate about healing our fresh tattoos.
@rufio yeah i've run the spectrum on healing
got 30 pieces under my belt and this is probably the toughest heal i've had
i've also had a few others that barely pealed at all
i heal the same way every time - aquaphor day 1 and 2 - then pretty much a dry heal after that
its all good though
for me location seems the key factor
my lower extremities are a much tougher heal thus far

yep,I wash starting after 3 or 4 hours after the tattoo application in a warm shower scrubbing the tattoo with the palm of my hand with a anti-microbial soap and then 2 or 3 times a day for the first 3 or 4 days.
