The Brainstorming Thread

Recommended Posts

I have a weird rule imposed on myself. I won't get anything that a friend has, design and/or placement wise. Unless it's a common theme. Or if I have work in progress already started on.

Don't be stupid. Copy all my tattoos.

And @Synesthesia, I much prefer Fran Massino's snakes. No question there. Fran's layouts and designs appear to be rooted n Japanese tattooing, which would lend itself to a cool fight scene.

^ I'm kind of with you there, but the Japanese style he has worried me because I wouldn't want it to be straight up Japanese. I also had a "it's meant to be" moment when I saw he posted a rooster tattoo and a snake within a week of each other. :D But yeah, I'm still open to any other ideas or suggestions anyone might have. This is wayyy in the future.

Center stomach is my upcoming spot now too, bud. Not looking forward to it.

Go with your gut (HA), and get the tiger head.

My plan is to get a tattoo on my right forearm of the family crest from my mothers family (she passed away in June)

I also would like to add more imagery around it. Ideas?

Looking for the artist that can make it happen. Ideas?

I am willing to travel once I am committed.

My sister thinks I should have it done in Japan. (I'll be visiting there in a year or so.)

    • Hey, I have a serious problem! I got a tattoo in Manila 4 weeks ago. The artist is very well known and is one of the most renowed. 2 day after tattooing, small pimples began to form on my thight an many at the tattoo. 3 days later i had fever at night (just at night). After that, the pimpels began to spread very quickly all over the body. (back stomach etc..) I have now been to 3 doctors and everyone is at a loss. The blood work is fine and with no anomalies. Antibiotic ointment and cortisone ointment did not help. Xyzall allergy tablets did not help either. When i took cortisone tablets, 90% of the pimpels disappeared on the tattoo, but not on the other parts of the body. Now that I´am no longer taking cortisone, the pimpels on the tattoo are starting to grow back again very quick. On the other parts of the skin , the pimpels are sometimes lighter and sometimes stronger. This can be change hourly. They don´t hurt and hardy lever itch. Of course I´am afraid of a tattoo allergie. Has anyone already had this problem ? Does anyone know what that could be ? I add photos: 1) Photo directly after tattooing. 2) 2 Photos with the pimpels after a week 3) After 3 weeks while taking cortisone. 4) Photo of the body on the left.
