Kill Uncle reacted to mtlsam in Repeating Tattoos?
I too have a lot or repeats, rose and flowers in heaps, angry cat heads and just generally angry heads aplenty.
But none as epic as this fellow, he knows what he likes and he likes Bert Krak's eagles!

Kill Uncle reacted to marley mission in Your First Tattoo
my first ever tattoo I got about 7-8 years ago - its covered now - basically i went to a local shop - got a small tattoo of plankton (yes from spongebob) which promptly became infected - skin fell off - scars were established - it was then covered by this Bob Marley tattoo - which was later chewed on by a pitbull (whole nother thread there) - anyway - my tattoo selection process has changed since then - and I dont think i'd ever get another coverup - anyway...

Kill Uncle got a reaction from marley mission in How do you react to stares??????
I absolutely hate the "how much did it cost" question.I used to answer that question to a few people, but now I ask if they are interested in getting a tattoo. If not,I don't answer the question.
Its pretty interesting to me seeing the reaction of co workers when they see my tattoos.
They are people that I have seen and spoken to for a lot of years. I notice their eyes looking right at my tattoos, but they don't say a thing.
Its kind of funny when the ones who are closer to me, make a comment and feel that its ok to let
me know how much they dislike tattoos.
I really don't care what anyone thinks,anyways.

Kill Uncle reacted to Devious6 in Upcoming Tattoos
I am truly stoked and anxious. This will be my personal memorial to 9/11 and my experiences in the Pentagon. I witnessed much that day - and carried the vivid nightmares for many months - much pain, fear, grief and heroism. Despite the fact that I tried to avoid it, I was humbled to receive the Army's highest award for non-combat heroism. It is the only of my many awards I received during my career that hangs in my den - and only because it was others who were there who petitioned the Army to present the award two years later when I retired. I accepted it on behalf of those who were killed, injured and the many heroes I saw that day.
Although I did not experience any real long-lasting emotional or physical impacts, each year I still find myself slipping back into the nightmares as the anniversary approaches. I can literally smell the burning jet fuel and human flesh mixed in the acrid smoke, hear the screams and feel the heat of the flames. There is even a block of time that remains hidden to me - a point where my only memory includes seeing blue skies, green grass and hearing birds chirping...literally as I know I was looking out a window overlooking the post-impact destruction. I hope to never regain the memory of what I actually saw.
So, on the 15th anniversary, this tattoo is my attempt/hope to finally close that chapter in my life. It is a way to recognize what happened, what I saw and did, and all those I knew who were killed, injured and impacted emotionally. I want it to express both what happened but also the awakening and hope of our Nation afterwards. It is a Nation that I hope we can find again - without having to witness the same degree of trauma, destruction and loss of life....unfortunately it seems a remote possibility now.
If you are interested, this book is a collection of interviews done by The Army's Center for Military History that captured the day's events in the Pentagon in the words of those who lived it. My recollections begin on Page 105. As you look at the cover picture of the book, my office and where I was when the plane hit was just above the "R" in LOFGREN and where you see the lower yellow flames.
You can download the book for free as a .pdf through this link. http://www.history.army.mil/html/books/070/70-119-1/CMH_Pub_70-119-1.pdf

Kill Uncle reacted to Naiemh in Where does your username come from or mean?
You killed me, hahaha, I was not expecting that.
My nickname is something super childish (as usual so I'm a little baby on here). When I was 10 I translated my name to japanese and it was Niemh, because I was (and I am) a huge lover of japanese culture. I didn't like it so I added an 'a': Naiemh.

Kill Uncle reacted to tatB in Plainskins say the darndest things...
agreed. and of the remaining likeable 1/3rd, I don't want to be around them 2/3rds of the time. and that 1/3rd of tolerable time with likeable people usually occurs after consuming 2/3rds of a 6-pack.

Kill Uncle reacted to sarahmohawk in Plainskins say the darndest things...
A crazy old dude came up to me in the street a few weeks ago, he was pointing out his wrist to me. He had a tattoo on the top of his arm and so do I, so I started showing mine thinking he was looking to talk tattoos. Turns out he was just trying to do the universal signifier for 'do you have the time'.
I guess Decoratedskins say the darndest things too. Haha.

These are my hands. The bird by Bailey Robinson and the panther by Steve Byrne. The knuckles and little guys were done by Vinse One. Actually Matt Arriola did the anchor.
