Hi :)
in Initiation
@Torsie24 if it's any consolation, i remember my inner forearm, right by the ditch, looking COMPLETELY insane when it was healing! i was sure it was gonna be a disaster, but it healed pretty close to perfect.
*sending good tattoo juju your way for a similar outcome!!

In case you all haven't been following this podcast, Andrew's had some pretty interesting guests and discussions this season, ending with Toothtaker.
Good stuff with some interesting perspective!

I scheduled a consultation with Melissa Manuel from Humble Beginnings in San Jose to get a Filipino-inspired tribal collar piece.
The consultation isn't until April 29th.
Hooray for links!

@bongsau glad to hear you're hanging in there! if you're willing to share, I'd love to see pics of that paint job. Sounds super interesting!
i went thru a broken engagement back in the late 2000s. We had just bought a condo together and she left me with a single income right when the housing bubble was bursting. Perfect timing.
I also had some dark times, but good friends and family helped shine some light on shit and brighten things up. I eventually fell in love again with my current wife of nearly 10yrs. We ended up foreclosing on the condo, like many Americans, coz the mortgage wasn't worth it and my new lady wasn't digging the spot that didn't feel like her own. That said, we got to live there for at least a few months without paying the rent! hahahhahaha... it was kind nice to somewhat feel what actually OWNING a home would be like, not having to pay the bank.
Anyways... i guess i'm just pointing out that cons, pros, ups, and downs come with the ticket to ride. That time taught me many lessons about myself and life, in general. Still learning with far to go!
Sending the strongest good juju your way, my man! 🙌💨💞

Thanks - today has been that no fun day of healing after ass tattooing! - nice comments have helped
I can't fully relate coz mines only hits the top of my bum. Everything i've heard makes it seem horrible, so i requested that mine only go to the belt line. Still, Jondix couldn't help but to go a bit below. He still had thoughts of adding to it, to extend further down on the ass, but I won't be booking that appointment for some time to come. 😏
i'm so glad my back is done and i don't have to experience that pain again!! i only wish i could see the damn thing with my own two eyes!

congrats @Stephanie !!

Thanks @pidjones. it's not a modular... just a good ol' full face.
Sadly, i just enjoy riding and haven't had the time or space to do much work on my own bike. This is the first place where i've had my own garage, since i started riding in 2012.
I did just come across in San Jose called Moto Guild, where you can rent a shared space to work on bikes. Pretty intriguing, but the time aspect is still an issue.

check out @livedintattoos on IG.
it'll take some reading of captions to see how old the tattoos are.

I just found out that you can purchase season 2 on Amazon. I felt like it was worth it, to have these in a library and not have to count on my DVR keeping it.
I'm also hoping that supporting it with my purchase is an indication of its success and potentially helps lead to more episodes in the future!!

We are collectors here, not artists. You are barking up the wrong tree.
This wasn't always the case with LST.
@pentacletattoo... a search thru historical threads will find you plenty of information and shit being shot by some well known tattooers. However, according the Guidelines, you won't be finding any trade secrets or "how to's". But there's TONS of information within them there hills. I suggest watching all the LST Interviews so you can pretend like you were sitting right there when some great artists were shit shooting and sharing their stories.
But first... read the Guidelines.

Isn't Timothy Hoyer traveling around in an RV or something like that? But, i mean... he would basically get his pick of shops anywhere he parks it.

Have a few months before my next session, hopefully I'll completely forget about what this weekend was like by then.
You won't forget. You'll never forget it. The thought of it will make you shudder for years to come. But you'll still go. You'll dread every moment up to the session and despise every moment the needle is on skin. But that dread and despise will be mixed with excitement and stoke. Then, when you're getting that last wipe down of the session and checking it out in the mirror, all the dread will be gone and the stoke will increase exponentially. Enjoy it!
But then healing. 😐

Hell yeah! Will definitely stop by the booth. I got 7 last week (6 Pagoda + 1 Shop) and I'm trying to tone down the insanity at Bay Area haha. Not sure if I'll be able to though. Your buddy should absolutely take advantage of being around all these crushers!
my buddy's confirmed with Luxiano for Friday at 9pm. his appointment was initially at 7:oo, but he got bumped back. Initially, he seemed a little bummed, but i listed a few pros about getting tattooed a little later in the evening and he appreciated it.
I'm also hitting up the opening party at ATAK SF on the Thursday before. Anyone else checking that out?
DM me and let's connect.

looking at the S02 eps on my Xfinity menu, it seems like this season doesn't include all the folks on the commercial or prior posts from Chris Grosso's IG (e.g. no DETH or Treviño).
i guess the good news is, we should be getting another season?! bad news is, we gotta wait for the eps on these tattoo legends.

I have considered the blacking out option. It would depend on what the artist thinks... the only reason why it’s an issue to me is because it’s part of a piece I had done for our first son.... most people here seem to think leave it though.....
my bad. the blackout suggestion was a joke in reference to another recent thread. ignore me and leave the rose alone. it looks fine.

that's a bummer! i second everything @cyoonit123 said. do some research and find a great artist. with the right effort, you'll find that there's more than enough great tattooers who are also great people. you should be able to rebuild some faith in tattooing pretty quickly!
