Here is a sneak peak of one side of my leg...

I got my third tattoo last Wednesday... the tattoo I always thought would be my first, a family tribute.
I asked for suggestions on it here a while back and tried to put them to good use.  I stayed away from heavy on text and went with something more graphic and symbolic.  We all like the Pixar movie "Up" so I used that as a theme and added my wife's, daughter's and grandkids' first initials in heart shaped balloons with their birth stone colors.  It was done by Jaimi Mullholand at Broad Wing Tattoo in Bowling Green, OH.  I'm super pleased with it and ready for my next.
 

Got this little Clockwork Orange Hot Stuff yesterday. I’ve admired the flash sheet for ages, and I wanted another tattoo. So I got him. 

You guys are weird. 5-15 minutes of barely any sun exposure isn't going to do anything to your skin, tattoo or life unless you are in outer space and way closer to the sun than we are. Not even if you were walking on mirrors reflecting all the UV rays right at your fresh tattoo.
If I were you, I'd worry more about being scared of the sun. Because the sun is going to be here for a long time and your tattoos will fade regardless of how you care for them.

The Stewart Robson dragon penis tattoo is remarkable, intriguing and brilliant in the technical sense. There is an old thread from many years ago on LST "Areas Of Your Body You WON'T Tattoo", page 11 has Stewart's comments on that tattoo. If you search the internet you could probably find Stewart's detailed blog post and pic of it. I think that was that gentleman's first tattoo and he was prepared and had a firm vision which Robson executed with amazing skill . You could also search for Matt Gone (checkerboard man), I've talked to him in person about his tattoos. His website has some pretty graphic details about his underwear zone tattoos. You will probably have more luck getting info (or trolling) on the BMEzine backpages.

That's not a good idea by any stretch of the imagination, but it's your money, and your penis. 

Not what you wanted, but at least it's a GOOD tattoo. I agree with what the other's have posted. You can't have too many dragons.

Based on that reference and what you got I think you were asking the wrong artist to do that style.  Its also a bunch of thick bold B&G trad pieces around it.  All things considered I think that the person did a good job of putting something in theme for your arm, it has a simple folk kind of american traditional vibe.  Personally based on the reference if you want small details then you need to get a big tattoo not a small arm banger, your reference is detailed to be a whole thigh or chest even.

Healing is worse than the tattoo on the hand. I dry healed my hands as I now do for all my tattoos. It was the scariest and most painful healing experience in my 15 years getting tattoo.  But I received them from one of the best cats around, so even though it looked like my hand was a candidate for an amputation, by the end of a grueling 6 week period it looked immaculate and no ink was lost. I had faith the entire time in what my tattooist had made for me.
This is precisely why one should wait and explore tattooing on other parts of the body that are easier to heal and gain a better understanding of what tattooing is.

Long sleeve shirts, even rolled up to the elbow will cover it. Not a big deal. Full sleeve is more of a big deal because even though a long sleeve shirt will cover it most of the time, every time you reach for something, the shirt rides up and your wrists are visible.

Just an old man grousing, but I get tired of people saying they are allergic to ink every time it itches. I did a lot of research on ink allergies before I had my first tattoo. The number of actual verified cases of an allergic reaction to tattoo ink is very, very small.

I was having breakfast the other morning and this lady kept giving me the stink eye. I got tired of it so finally I just confronted her. I said, "OK mom, that's enough; I know you don't like my tattoos."  :-)
