  1. Got this piece done last week! My artist was amazing and gave me exactly what I was looking for! The shin nearly killed me, but it turned out amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Tiger dagger done by Tyson Arndt in february last year, at Stockholm Classic. Venomous snake dagger done a little over a year ago in Newcastle while he was on tour.

Wondering the same. I've had a whole very detailed and elaborate half sleeve done in two three-hour sessions. Maybe try a different artist if you end up getting more tattoos?

    Torn between two artists

First of all, damn, that huzzink site is a horrible mess, so hard to navigate it. Secondly, none of them are extremely good, in terms of saturation, lines, details etc. Don't want to sound smug, but i think you could do better. Your starting point should be the tattoo you want: if you want a bold colour flower, you don't pic artists that mostly do black&grey. Look for artists that do tattoos in the style you like and go through their portofolios. BUT, if i were to pic one, i'd go to Zhdanov from Huzzink, his colours and lines look good, he can do a bold red flower :)

    Torn between two artists

I'm no expert but personally I prefer the latter one, felt more consistent to me.

  9. Well that's pretty solid advice. And it seems obvious now. I'm strongly considering going back to the same artist for the other calf because I had a great experience with her last time and that way even if the shapes of the tattoos don't totally mirror each other, at least having them done in the same style will add a degree of congruence. Thanks for taking the time to reply to an anxious tattoo noob with a propensity for overthinking everything!

  11. Yesterday I attended a very fun Sailor Jerry birthday party at Leviticus Tattoo in Minneapolis. 14 artists, 100+ flash choices, food and drink. Super fun. Anyway, I'm not saying I choose a dagger because it's this months topic but I'm also not not saying that.... Done by guest artist https://www.instagram.com/thomas_titus/

  12. I reached out to Topper at Philadelphia Eddie's about a potential appointment in April, fingers crossed. And I might check out a local shop in the near future and pick some flash off the wall as soon as I'm not either sick or working.

  13. Well, my story is nowhere near as interesting as yours @oboogie but, I went in today planning to get something small for Friday the 13th and, after looking at all the cool flash for a while (while waiting) I settled on this reaper with a shotgun. But my artist gave me an extra discount if I got two and I couldn't resist . So I got a cool Native American arrowhead on the other arm which perfectly fits a gap in between two other tattoos that I couldn't figure out how to fill. I love how both of them came out. Still fresh but I'll post a healed pic in a few weeks.

    Japanese Ghosts

I was going thru some old photos and I came across this album from the "Beware! the Yokai" show back in Oct 2014 at Empire Seven Studios in SJ, put on by Chris Brand and State of Grace. Thought I'd share. FYI... These are completely unedited. Sorry. Not sorry. Enjoi
