Hey guys, I'm going to be in London June/July. Other than FST, can anyone recommend any other tattoo shops I should check out? Preferably traditional styles. Also, they don't necessarily have to be in London, surrounding areas work too. Thanks!!

awesome @Orangutango i really wanted to get something from him but I got in with Rich Hardy the week before the idle hands guys arrived and was broke, also Third Eye are getting in some really talented guest artists lately.

What did you get? I was his first appt in Melb and the very next guy cancelled so I stayed and got another!

Rich Hardy at the start of November followed by a trip to NYC the next week. I have two days completely free which I think will be walk in days at Smith st. Should I take the walk in punt or make a call and organise something?

People will ask me what my next tattoo is and I tell them I plan to go to Smith St. in NY in November to get tattooed by the four guys there who do the same style as what I have been getting. The first response I get is, "oh is that New York ink?"... No it's Smith st!!

I have even been asked if I was going to Miami Ink after I have told them I will be in New York getting tattooed!

Got this Grimm tiger yesterday from Fergus Simms. Here is a pic of the three thigh tattoos I have off him so far taken after the appointment. Safe to say I am very happy with all of it.

The worst part about getting tattoos is, as soon as you finish one, you are formulating for the next one. But I promised myself no more tattoos for a long time, simply because I'm 20 years old, already have 4, no need to go out and fill up my skin. Plus, I'm wondering if this is a phase I'll grow out of... I dont think so but just to be sure, I'm putting on the brakes. My sister, on the other hand, is chomping at the bit to get more, and I have my brother seriously considering them. It doesn't help that my friend (the one I have matching flapper tattoos with) just got a sick ass umbrella done on her arm right underneath where she put her flapper... My brain is going TATTOOS!!! While my common sense goes "Save your money, wait for months and months, look around, there's no rush"

Meh, just go for it haha. I'm freshly 21 and I have 10. If I didn't have to travel across the world to visit Smith St God knows how many more I'd have already.

Whoops I forgot to quote. Haha you did get in early. He usually charges by the piece - you will be amazed at how cheap he quotes you. Feels like you're ripping him off. The shop is a bit of a trek from the cbd but it's awesome nonetheless.

Get them all man! You won't regret it. I've been tattooed by him a few times, he rules! When are you in Melbs?

On a family trip to the states I had organised an appointment with Tomas Garcia at Sid's in Santa Ana. While we were at the shop my mum, dad and little sister all got spontaneous tattoos from the other guys while they weren't busy. So cool having a family who digs tattoos!
