Tigress by Chris O'Donnell. There's no way that this photo does it justice! It wraps all the way around my thigh both front and back then up to my butt (and OMG, I love the tiger tail on my butt!). The photo looks a little distorted due to my inability to take a photo of it myself. Way up high, he tied in my existing peony with rocks and fngerwaves. It looks sweet.

Really, fix the 'dot' in the 6? That is nothing, it's a tattoo. 

Getting the colour started on this one on Tuesday. Another 6 hour session, can't wait!

Yes, it would be totally inappropriate. "Hi, I love your work, but you are too expensive. Can you recommend someone just as good, but cheaper so I can spend my money with your competition?"

Got this a couple days ago, by Brittany Kilsby at Hot Copper in Melbourne, AU. First tattoo, and probably the start of a collection. 

Some weeds from the roadsides of America, they always make me giddy when I see a big bunch growing in a ditch.
I don't think my artist was stoked to do more damn flowers.

I just joined the ranks of the tattooed last week at age 42. I had a design in mind for about 20 years, but I never acted on the idea until now. I don't know why I waited so long. The experience of getting it was great--I want another one as soon as I can manage it. My wife isn't thrilled by it (this tattoo or any potential future tattoos), but I think she's coming around to it all.
I asked the artist for a design I could have gotten 20 years ago, since that's when I had the idea. I think he did just that. The DNA sequence is from the FOXP2 gene, which is part of what we need to talk. (I'm a language teacher.)
I'm so thrilled that I have gotten my first tattoo. I'm looking forward to more.

Got my first leg tattoo by Victor J Webster @ East River Tattoo in NYC yesterday. It's his interpretation of the Bakunawa, the Philippine mythical dragon which devours the moon and causes lunar eclipses.

Hey everyone!
My name is Emily.  I'm 26 years old, originally from Michigan, currently living in Florida.  After a solid year of researching and reflecting, I finally got my first tattoo three weeks ago!  You can imagine I sifted through a lot of shit information on tattoos and tattooing during that time, so I'm happy to have landed here at last.  I've been lurking for the past few weeks and the trove of solid advice I've found here has done wonders for easing my numerous healing process anxieties.  I'm also excited to have found a community of tattoo enthusiasts since my husband and most of my friends are completely uninterested in tattoo culture.  I'm looking forward to joining the community, continuing to learn about the craft, and continuing to collect tattoos.

I'm a pharmacist currently pursuing advanced training in toxicology, so all of the plants in the tattoo are toxic.

It seems to exclude Britain which, from my last visit to the Manchester area there, seemed to be the most tattooed place I've come across. (Perhaps most popular in working class areas there...)

For what it's worth, I read that "disco" type UV lights produce UV-A light (closer to optical spectrum) but dermatologists can use either UV-A or UV-B.

New addition to my "bird collection". Done by Pavla (Poppy Tattoo) during her guest spot in Prague. The photo is hers.
Concerning the watercolor tattoos and their ability to hold, I can now compare the 2 year old tattoo with this new one because they are placed right next to each other. The older one still looks great and vivid. But I have very pale skin, and I almost never sunbathe.
