  1. I have a surgical scar from a shoulder injury (from a crash with a roadbike).

This is a picture the day after surgery

The scar didn't heal very nicely (as you can probably imagine from that picture ;-) )

And this picture a couple of minutes ago, you can still see a part of the scar without ink, and you can see the covered part.

I also have some road rash on my elbowd, which is now covered by my sleeves.

  2. And here we are again :)

Today/tonight was the 4th session, this time 3 hours, I could have gone longer but my artist needed to pick up a guest artist from the airport.

Anyway we still made good progress, my other side is now completely shaded as is my right left. Next session we are going to do the rest of the shading on my left leg, and on my ass (ouch! : ) ) and put some black in the clothing, and then we're done with the black and its onto color!

  3. Like I said earlier, its just normal wound fluids, there will be some ink in it, but nothing to worry about.

The saran wrap i take off the next morning also have 'black' fluid in it, and when we start with color the fluid will also have some color probably..

Even a day later i have some small black stains in my bed sheets, even though the tattoo was dry during the day.

Again, don't worry, the tattoo looks fine.

  4. Yeah, I already have a couple of appointments booked at a two week interval.

At first I was planning to go slow on my backpiece (because of the cost :) ) and had planned to finish it somewhere next year, but then I heard my tattooer is planning on moving back to Argentina or possibly moving to Spain so that plan changed rather quickly :-)

  5. Well today i had my first session. On my back. And after 6 hours i was woord out. I was shakey And couldnt hold my pain anymore ( normally I can sit up till 10 hours at the time) so we called it a day. We did most outlines but next time we do the last couple of bits. And do the shading part. I underestimate how much pain and work this was going to be. And to be honest I feel like a pussy for tapping out. I feel really bad right now.

I had the same yesterday, we had to take a brake a couple of times because i couldn't stop shaking, and today i'm sore all over, every muscle in my upper body feels like a had a fitness session yesterday :)

  6. I also posted this in the backpiece thread, but i'm soo stoked i just had to put it in here too :-)

Well, Since today I am an official member of the Back piece squad :)

We had a (pretty brutal) 5+ hour start of my backpiece, we managed to finish all the lining (except for the big flower that need to go on my upper legs).

Next session will be for lining the flowers and the rest of the leg part, and to start shading... I can't wait ;-)

  7. That's going to be so good. I love samurai/warrior tattoos and the interplay of all the patterns in the tattoo. You must be super stoked!

I am man! :) I'm dying to see what he will come's up with design wise. It is going to be a full back piece going down onto my upper legs so we've got a long way to go :)

Yeah I love samurai as well. @DevilMan That's an awesome design too. I'm jealous man. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on that beast! Who's got the pleasure doing that on you may I ask?

My back will be done by Bonel (Instagram) of Corazon Santo in The Netherlands, he also did both my sleeves.

  8. I've got thursday next week booked to start on my backpiece, to get rid of that white 'spot' between my two sleeves ;-)

But.... I'm having a hard time deciding on what (kuniyoshi) warrior design to go with, I know you can't really go wrong with a Kuniyoshi design, but thats what making it hard to decide, they are all sooo good ;-)

I'm kinda leaning towards one of the top pictures, but maybe I should just go with a big ass full back tiger and be done with it

    I don't knowwwwwwww..

  9. Hiya,

Today I found the website (and mobile) apps of Tattoo App-Tattoo World App For Android, iPhone and Windows Phone.

It's a 'database' of all tattooshops, piercingshops, conventions etc worldwide, with location and information about the shop, ratings, reviews etc.

It's seems there aren't a whole lot of shops active yet (at least in my part of the world), but it looks interesting.

Anybody else seen it/used it yet?
