Little outline Chad carved into me yesterday morning. 

if it is blowout then there is nothing you can do about it,  so get over it,
if it is blowout it will not go away,
just let it heal ,that will take several more weeks,like 2 months to fully heal,
blowout can happen to the best artists on anyone,
it mostly depends on where on the body it is,some spots blowout every time some don't,
stop looking at it with a microscope and plan your next badass tattoo.

Oh sorry, I didn’t realize you’ve also watched a lot of YouTube videos about tattoos. You’re clearly more experienced than I thought. Again, 2 tattoos and some YouTube videos is not much to base such a generalization on.

Was it on the stencil? If an artist did it to me without asking my permission first I'd raise a holy f'ing stink.
That being said, if I ever get tattooed by a really top notch artist I plan to ask them to them to sign their work.

I guess a photo of said tattoo does make sense doesn't it? 😂
 
 

Well, it's been almost a year so now I'm excited to have booked my next piece while on vacation in Austin a month from now! I'm in with Jon Sproul at Moon Tattoo and he's going to be filling in the last remaining spot on my leg, so (once reasonably healed) I'll be posting in both the Latest Tattoo Lowdown and the Squidpants threads. 

It's been a good while since I posted on here so here are a few bits I've had over the last year or two, there are more but these are the only ones that I have pics to hand.

I want to feel ALL of that tattoo.
The best.
The worst.
The excitement.
The vulnerability.
The fear.
The anxiety.
The confidence.
The strength.
The power.
I have found a lot of peace and healing through the pain. Some people don't get that and can't. Some of you will no exactly what I'm talking about.
Embrace that shit.
 

I agree, I put off getting my first tattoo because of my fear of injections and blood draws.  They are completely different.  A tattoo, to me, is more of a scratching sensation, where an injection is a sharp poke.  Tell the truth, I think getting tattooed has helped minimize my fear of the medical jazz.  Your mind set is also different.  You want the tattoo and are looking forward to it, whereas the shots and draws not so much.
Two other factors.  I've found there is difference in artists, some are definitely more heavy handed than others.  Also it amazes me how much of a difference there is within just a few inches.  The outside of the bicep, directly below the shoulder only feels like a vibration.  But move around to the underarm... yikes!  Feels like they're pealing the skin right off.

1. it takes 4 - 6 weeks to heal, so you won't know what it's going to look like until then
2. it likely is an easy touch-up
3. you should listen to you tattoo artist

1. Someone makes a comment to me about how dumb tattoos are while staring at my tattoos
2. I tell them they are memorial tattoos for all the family I have lost
3. Person looks horrified, tries to think of something to say
4. I drop the mic and walk away

Sorry, but that's mainly just poor application. 

No to a tattoo under 18. Piercings are a bit different for me but I'd want my kid to hold off on facial piercings until 17. 

It would have to be a super mature kid. Way more mature than I was at 18 when I got my first one. 😀
