Agreed with what has been said here! You are new to this and are expecting something that doesn't exist. Your tattoos are great! I was admiring them earlier and am surprised at this post. Well not too surprised because a lot of folks go through this over analyzation when they first dip their toe into this world.
You have some really nice pieces. Stop over analyzing them and enjoy them. Nothing wrong with any of them. Your expectations are unrealistic. Not trying to be a jerk. A lot of us were like that at first. Please do not waste any energy worrying about them or trying to cover them. They look great.

If lanolin fades tattoos then why aren't folks using that stuff to remove tattoos or at least lighten them. I'd love to see the info on that.

It said they were having gang problems. I do wonder, would there be backlash against restaurants for banning members of Biker clubs for wearing MC vests?
This happens all the time. Tons of bars and restaurants display "no colors allowed" signs. Funny thing is I've never seen any of the club members protesting or crying to their local news station about it.

This makes me second guess getting tattooed by Chad, I take on trauma so easy that I frequently say " I bruise like a peach".
That Tattoo is seriously good though. Beautiful and tough man, that is a tattoo to be proud of.You WILL bruise. But that goes away and it's totally worth it
pics attached were from my latest from Chad on the inside of the bicep. Taken the day after and under tegaderm.

@ItsNewport that is fantastic!!!

@Vix35 have you seen this lady's white tattoo recently? White does not last well on its own, and honestly in my opinion will eventually look like a scar or some sort of skin issue.
If you dislike your tattoo and don't want to cover it with something MUCH larger, you can opt to have it lasered off. Expensive and painful.
Or do what dan suggested. A very good idea in my opinion

Did any of you read her post? She's not looking to cover them nor is she insecure about them.
@Jamie the best bet is to talk to a tattooer about your idea. If you let us know where you live, someone here can point you to a great black and grey artist who can work with you and let you know if your idea will work.

@BrokenTV sounds like you are doing well. It's only 4 days old.
Didnt you mention you had tegaderm on it? How long did you keep the tegaderm on? Did your tattooer tell you to use aquafor after removing the Tegaderm?
No scabbing is a GOOD thing. No itchiness is a plus. But again, it's 4 days old. Sounds like you are healing well. Would love to see a pic.

It does happen all the time. I agree that yours is from a flash sheet and I also agree that yours is the much better if the 2. Here is an example that I thought was just a bit much. Not that anyone owns the rose tattoo, but the timing / size / and placement seemed a little copy cat-ish. Guess which one I like better?

Hope my jokes didn't come across as mean spirited, by the way--they were certainly meant in a spirit of silliness. I'm in the middle of a difficult heal myself.
Never! Your posts are always awesome.
I hate healing tattoos. Tegaderm makes it a little better cause you don't really have to do anything. But the day you have to take the tegaderm off is stressful as can be. It hurts, ya gotta go really slow, and honestly you just have no idea what the heck it's gonna look like under there. You just cross your fingers and hope that the 3M company comes through and doesn't let you down.

@a_beukeveld I'm sure it will all be fine. The tattoos look great in the pics.
This is just my experience but I do not change the tegaderm out once I put it on. Some people do, but I haven't. I get bandaged as per the usual method after getting tattooed and leave that on overnight (no matter at what point of the day I get tattooed. I always leave bandage on overnight). Then shower that next morning and remove bandage and clean the tattoo. Then, since I have no confidence in my skills, I walk back to tattoo shop and have the tattooer give one last wipe down with green soap and have them put the tegaderm on. Then I leave it for 5 24 hr days. If fluid builds up I leave it. Once it actually leaked out but then sealed right back up. I have not tried changing out the tegaderm to a new piece. Sucks enough removing it once.
The derm always has stuck to my tattoo by day 5. It just won't stick to a fresh seeping one. I just pull it slowly with gentle soap and tons of water. And I try to remove in the direction of the hair, not opposite.

I should also note that I went through pretty full peels after the tegaderm was removed albeit very light and not scabby. I used lotion after removing the tegaderm to keep the area moist. And yes it was sensitive from what I remember.

Good for them that you can now zoom in on Instagram or I wouldn't be able to tell what half of them even are
