Ok, I'm a bit of a beer geek and have been gettng into Sour beers...mainly stuff from Russian River Brewing Co. - Consecration, Supplication and Temptation are real good . Also Flemish Sour Brown's like Monks Cafe or Petrus Oud Bruin. Anyone else like Sour beers?

Ever since I turned 21 and had a shot of Tully I've been hooked, and when I'm really itchin for a fight/ shenanigans I go for Makers Mark. I guess it all depends on my mood what I drink, I like Jameson but rarely drink it. Though my all time favorite has to have been the 12 yr old Tully my friend brought back from Ireland this last summer. Good lord... theres a picture some where of it. "You ok?" ...... Got hammered on it for a company meeting a few years ago. Enroute to the meeting I went to a Kentucky Fried Chicken where I managed to order 25 dollars worth of chicken, tried to break into the womans restroom with someone in it, went into the mens restroom where I vomited all over the floor. I also tried to start a circle pit with my co-workers in the parking lot of the hospital that was hosting it. I stopped drinking before meetings.

This reminds me of the thread a while back where the client was upset that the shop helper didn't offer to go get him a cup of coffee. I had thought about detailing the hundreds of things the shop helper had to juggle all at once, but just decided to leave it alone.

As someone who's worked as the shop help/customer service rep. I find it incredibly offensive. I would never work in a shop where I was looked at as the shop bitch rather than the chick who works her ass off doing all kinds of important things like making sure the shop and equipment is clean and safe, dealing with every kind of customer imaginable, making sure you've got a hot lunch to eat, and all the other hundreds of little things that people who works in shops do to make it an easier and more enjoyable place for the tattooers and their clients alike. Some tattooers unfortunately have zero respect for the people who help make their jobs go a lot smoother. I mean, if you want to spend your evening scrubbing tubes and washing the floor/toilets after the shop closes, you're welcome to it. I guarantee within one month of doing so you'll be begging for your "shop bitch" to come back. There are a few shops that don't have employees outside of the tattooers but they are few and far between and are usually just people who are to cheap to pay for the help, or their shop is too slow to warrant the help.

Rogue Dead Guy is a good beer. But you know what is better Double Dead Guy or Dead Guy aged in Whiskey Barrels. I take a trip to the Rogue Brewery at least once a year and they have three brew pubs in Portland. At their brewery (about two hours away)on the ocean they have two bedroom apartments with full kitchen and washer dryer you can rent out for the night for like $100 and I try to go at least once a year for two days.

yeah those videos are awesome. i would love to hear a translated version so i knew what he was talking about in between the sessions. i would totally love to win the lottery and take a tattoo vacation, but before i left i would have to have a laser vacation to make room for more awesome stuff!

Invitation only in most cases means you have to be invited to have a booth to preform tattoos or sell artworks. Any member of the public is free to purchase a weekend pass and stay for as little or as long as they please. Have you guys been to a convention before? It's not always very easy to watch people tattooing at conventions. They are usually in the back part of the booth behind their portfolio table. It's hard to get close enough to really watch without being in the way (ie:blocking the front of the booth from potential paying customers, or just taking up room in the generally small booths). This doesn't mean you can't learn at a convention and I do hope you both attend. The best thing to do would be watch from a respectful distance for short periods of time. If someone asks if you are an apprentice be honest about it. Don't stand there for an hour with your jaw on the ground like a jackass, basically. If someone seems even in the slightest way like they might be annoyed by your presence just walk away and don't say anything. Don't ask them questions about either, most probably won't like that. Just watch, quietly, politely, and from a spot that gives them all the room they need. If you are going because you want to meet people and network, save it for the parties that usually happen after the convention, people are a lot more open when they've had a couple drinks and arn't focusing on making tattoos/money.

hahaha in Florida we call it a miami body suit.. dudes with no tattoos except hands and neck... way to make yourself unemployable and look like a total chode! i plan on waiting until my art career is a little more secure and i know i won't have to work retail on the side anymore to do the tops of my hands and fingers... plus i still have a ton of room on my legs including both knees and a lot of thigh space

This whole thread brings to mind the Cointel operatives from the 60's and 70's the the FBI planted in groups they deemed leftist, liberal or otherwise subversive, like the NAACP and the Black Panthers. Their mission was to interupt and misdirect, and they often took part in framing people for crimes that they'd never actually get convicted for, just distracting from their actual work and wasting a lot of time and resources. Bubbleberry, I think maybe you misread the community here, otherwise you probably wouldn't have posted that question. No one here could give you a review like you requested, " a simple " you know that dvd is really geared towards making machines not servicing them " would cost very little and would, at least, be dignified." because no one on this forum has learned their trade from a DVD, nor do they use "tattoo guns" (your words) made by people who learned from a DVD. Either way, we're looking forward to your review.

about 7 years ago, when i worked at deluxe, i was doing a kanji on this chick's lower back. she was doing ok, then got a little light-headed. so, we stopped, i let her sit down, got her some water, her friend gave her candy. waited about ten minutes, she was feeling better, chatting, color came back in her face. she seemed totally fine. so, we decide to finish up( there was literally one minute left on the tattoo.) she takes a final swig of her water and takes two steps toward the trash can, to throw out her cup. SHE PASSES OUT STANDING UP. !!!CRACK!!! she hit the floor unconscious, no reflexes, face first. it sounded like a bat hitting a baseball. it was the scariest sound ever, and we were stunned. for a second we all just stood there with our mouths open, then the silence was broken by the chick's eerie moaning. blood was pooling out around her head and she seemed REAL confused and in a lot of pain. she was crying and not getting up. so, i called 911, they show up pretty quick, paramedics come in and i tell them what happened. in the most non-challant way, dude glances at her, then back at me and pulls his sleeve up to show me an old armband..."hey bro, how much would it be to fix this up?". i repeated that she was bleeding and in pain and he says "she'll be ok, probably just broke her jaw." his buddy is behind us looking at flash! so, they finally take her out on a stretcher and off to the hospital. i start cleaning up the blood, and notice her teeth left an indent in our floor. SHE HIT HARD. so, her friend is on her way out and is quietly giggling, and i ask what is so funny? she says "well, in the last week her boyfriend dumped her, her car got stolen and she got fired. she was hoping this tattoo would turn her luck around." it was the kanji for "lucky".

i had some burning man girl shit her pants all coked up and i caught her on her way to the bathroom as she shit her pants. not awsome smelled like a truck driver craped in my nostrils. not enough money in the day for that shit. not enough..
