  2. Shit. I'd have gone in just to gaze in wonder and have the remote possibility of shaking his hand and thanking him for all he's done for tattooing!!

  3. Not about a new tattoo, that happens tomorrow, but I'm visiting my daughters in Oakland and was walking around exploring the neighborhood and stumbled across Freddie Corbin's Tattoo 13. If I didn't already have an appointment at Black Heart I would have stopped in.

  4. Tattoo #49 in the Colouring Book by one of my fave dudes Shawn Hedley at Champion Tattoo Edmonton, AB. This is now officially THE smallest tattoo in my bodysuit (it's about the size of a $0.25).

    Hello from Manila

Relatively new to the world of tattooing but I've made up for lost time by getting over 25 tattoos from 15 artists in less than two years. Sounds a little crazy, I know. It's good to be here.

  7. Welcome to the forum! At this point, your pieces have settled in and are continuing to heal. We all heal at different rates and it takes 6 months or so to fully heal. I'm not sure how much moisturizer you are using but it "could" be a reaction to the moisturizer - either using too much or just generally having some allergic reaction to this specific cream. You could try switching the moisturizing cream to another brand, or even cut it out totally now for awhile to see if that helps. In the end, your skin needs air to heal. Of course, the best way to ensure it's not an allergic reaction to the cream - or the ink - is to consult your doctor/dermatologist. I hope you figure it out soon!!

    Tipping Question

As a tattooist; if I feel like I did a good job and my client tips me, it's an awesome feeling and I gladly accept the tip. If I did a tattoo that I felt I could have done better on I refuse the tip.. Why should I be paid extra when I didn't knock it out of the park? As a collector; I always tip.. wether its after each session or after its all said and done. Typically, as I'm getting tattooed I talk to my artist and find out what s/he is passionate about other than tattooing.. Wether it's firearms, music, cars etc. I don't tip until my multiple session piece is done then I drop a rad gift on them. In my opinion, I would rather hand my tattoo artist a new guitar, a new rifle, or a new set of tires.. rather than handing then $50 tip every time.

  9. I was going to have my back worked on last night, but it was still tender from the shading of last week. She knew I wanted an old demon head covered up on my bicep, so we went with that. Took like 3 hours with all the BSing back and forth, cutting a stencil from something already drawn up.

    Tipping Question

I'm a frequent flyer in the shop I go to. She treats me well and once in a while charges me too little, so I tell her so and give her a great tip. Last night I was having a cover up done on an old piece of work, we made some of it up as we went along. Line out an element, clean it up, sit back and look at it, proceed. That is priceless.

  11. Had a good session yesterday. Finished the outline and got some color in. Taking longer then expected. My artists hours do not work with my work hours. So I have to take vacation days to get work done. Oh well. Still loving it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hello from Manila

Thank you! Of course! Here are some! Rainbow Brite and Amy Winehouse by Jake Good at Artful Dodger in Seattle. Nine hours! My longest sitting ever. Yup I have a taco tattoo 😂 This is by Jim Parchen at Rabble Rouser Tattoos in LA. The brave tin soldier done by Jonny Rhodes at Peoples Art Tattoo in Copenhagen Wednesday Addams by Karla Aggarao here in Manila. But she's moved to the Middle East. Peter Pan by Gmaz at Mofo Tattoos in Hong Kong. Still my most painful tattoo experience ever. Diving girl by Huka at Timeless Tattoo in LA. One of my favorites, especially since she accidentally ended up looking like my grandma. Hansel and Gretel (me and my brother) by Dyun Depasupil at his studio here in Manila. Also one of my favorites. And here are a few more pics:

  22. I think I go through a stage like this with all my tattoos. It's something new that you're going to see forever and that takes some adjusting. I think you could definitely add some more flowers in the empty spaces and/or have them re-colored. I think I saw you mention somewhere else you weren't sure about the pink and purple flowers? Maybe try making those darker? Just sit on it for a while and see if it grows on you though, all of mine eventually did.

  23. Not entirely true. From my understanding, dragons are neutral, but the majority of the time tend to be good omen. There are many instances in which dragon fight humans. Tamatori the pearl diver running from Ryujin is a good example of a ryu/human conflict. Or Susanoo who slayed the dragon Orochi to save Kushinadahime. Or the dragon that was eating children that the goddess Benzaiten soothed with her beauty, and latter (in some stories) married the dragon. There are other instances in which a witch transforms herself into a dragon as well, and stories of multi-headed evil dragon. Although rare, there are certain instances in which ryu fight swordsman. But as for your tattoo, less is more. If I were you Id just go with a dragon skeeve with nothing else, but thats just me.
