New-ish to Texas, finally got over to Rock of Ages. Got talking to Dreyfus about Steve Byrne's availability, before long my girlfriend interjected that we needed to discuss how we were going to pay for an upcoming trip. I agreed, we left, and then I went right home and called the shop the next day anyways. Snagged a Friday afternoon in October :cool:

Haven't decided what I'm going to get. Instead, I'm going to see if he has any ideas about filling one of the last (kind of awkward) spots on my arm. Way excited.

I love the contact info on their website. After a deposit, they will disclose phone number and location, and then keep it to yourself. Definitely piqued my curiosity with that alone.

Yeah he also has a policy if for some reason you dont call and cancel a booking within 72 hours all of your future bookings are cancelled and you go back to square one, which i think is fair to be honest for someone so busy and that has no time for bullshit.

For the first time ever I missed an appointment today, and I feel like such a dick. For whatever reason, since making my appointment I had it in my head it was on Wednesday, and I didn't think to recheck my calendar.

They're being super awesome and rebooking me for next week and I didn't lose my deposit. Sent an email directly to the artist apologizing, but still feeling shitty :(.

Yeah mate I went for a hawk and pine tree scene, which I havent seen any amongst his portfolio so im excited to see what he comes up with, ill keep everyone in the know when it goes down I owe it to LST

In addition to the tattoo I got from Grez today, I'm getting tattooed at my local/regular shop (X-Treme Ink in West Chester, Pa) by Keith Reed tomorrow!

After that I think I'm done until January.

I drove through West Chester yesterday, im actually only a few miles away. Beautiful little place, but there for a minute I thought it might wash away last night!

And I finally booked my first appointment of the year, which I realize is very slacking. Its with @cltattooing in Oakland in a few weeks, should be pretty rad!

      First let me say I've never seen exactly that related to tattoos. Second, I am NOT a doctor, so take any advice with a grain of salt and follow it at your own risk. I do have something like that which appears on my face from time to time. After multiple visits to the dermatologist, which didn't fix it, I finally came up with my own treatment. Whenever it flairs up, I just wipe the area down with plain rubbing alcohol three or four times a day to keep it dry. That usually works within a couple of days. Again, I'm not a doctor, but I don't think it would hurt anything for you to try that. Good Luck.

      Hey, I have a serious problem! I got a tattoo in Manila 4 weeks ago. The artist is very well known and is one of the most renowed. 2 day after tattooing, small pimples began to form on my thight an many at the tattoo. 3 days later i had fever at night (just at night). After that, the pimpels began to spread very quickly all over the body. (back stomach etc..) I have now been to 3 doctors and everyone is at a loss. The blood work is fine and with no anomalies. Antibiotic ointment and cortisone ointment did not help. Xyzall allergy tablets did not help either. When i took cortisone tablets, 90% of the pimpels disappeared on the tattoo, but not on the other parts of the body. Now that I´am no longer taking cortisone, the pimpels on the tattoo are starting to grow back again very quick. On the other parts of the skin , the pimpels are sometimes lighter and sometimes stronger. This can be change hourly. They don´t hurt and hardy lever itch. Of course I´am afraid of a tattoo allergie. Has anyone already had this problem ? Does anyone know what that could be ? I add photos: 1) Photo directly after tattooing. 2) 2 Photos with the pimpels after a week 3) After 3 weeks while taking cortisone. 4) Photo of the body on the left.
