Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Rob I and 5 others reacted to losParanoyas for a topic
Got back on Saturday from my latest session with Kore Flatmo. We added all that color to the dagger, snake, and flames. These pictures do not do those blue jewels justice. Next time we're adding black and grey work to the bottom shin area, the knee, and back of thigh. Had a great time up there as usual.6 points -

I am not sure whether it was posted or not on here BUT it seems I got to be tattooed by and visit with Peter Giaquinto just in time! Peter was laid to rest last weekend! He was very welcoming to me and told me some really cool stories as well as sharing with me a few things on tattooing! :(3 points -
From that same photoset we also have @Shaun1105 wearing his LST shirt while in an armbar. All the pictures are here: http://www.nightlife.ca/2014/09/09/des-tatouages-par-milliers-la-12e-convention-internationale-de-tatouage-de-montreal3 points

Need help with font
hogg and 2 others reacted to gougetheeyes for a topic
Your tattooer will have infinitely better font references than the internet. Or at least, he should... If he reaches for the computer instead of one of the many lettering books out there, BJ Betts will appear like a genie and smack him in the face.3 points -

That armbar and seating position was so uncomfortable that it made the discomfort of an inner arm tattoo pale in comparison. The pain of the tattoo was a nice distraction from my elbows position at times.2 points

Yeah, so those Rassier ditches were supposed to be my last tattoos of 2014. How in the world do I have 3 appointments booked, with a potential 4th that may or may not go through, depending on whether or not Ben Grillo gets booked up for his Temple trip. And I want to do that Idle Hand GWYG on Saturday too. Fuck.2 points

True, and maybe I'm becoming a cranky old man well in advance of my years, but I think that when somebody is shown respect, a little bit of respect and politeness isn't too much to ask in return.2 points

I have an ass/back of thighs lining session tomorrow. I'm going to try to keep this "magic" and "mystical bond" in mind while I'm getting tattooed to try to convince myself that I'm not the stupidest person in the world.2 points

I had one of the best tattoo experiences today and officially crossed the line into weird territory with this by Mando Rascon today. Immaculate tattoo is definitely the best shop I've been in so far and Mando is honestly the best dude I've met, after the tattoo they shouted me lunch and he took me on a tour around Mesa and Tempe and then drove me all the way home to my hostel!!. what a dude.2 points

I'll agree with Graeme, Yann is well known in Mtl and does good work in his style. You shouldn't sweat it too much, when you friend gets tired of this piece he can still get a giant solid black panther blasted over everything. Third time is the charm they say.2 points

I'm just there the Friday... Just being tattooed by Tomo from Yellow Blaze (some more colour on my front piece). I love the idea of getting a small walk up from someone too, but I don't know if I should, money-wise. Spent a lot on tattooing this year. Either way I'm looking forward to doing a little walk-about and snagging some loot like t-shirts.1 point

bambi
hogg reacted to Joe Stratford for a topic
@bambi PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THAT TATTOO STUDIO, even a quick look shows up terrible work, this will be on you for the rest of your life. Do not be too hasty in making your decision. We are here to help! I agree with the above, just some butterflies would look great without the stars in my opinion. Are you willing to travel (1-2hours?) to get the work done? We can help point you in the right direction1 point -
Good luck @Graeme ! I can't say that I'm jealous of your day tomorrow :) Try yoga breathing!!!!!!1 point

I sat for Dennis at Providence Tattoo for about 4.5 hours on Saturday afternoon. It was a bit shorter of a sitting than I thought it might be, and thank god. I was still miserable the last hour, and I'm pretty sure Dennis wanted to kill me, haha. But I LOVE the result, and of course it was worth it! I have been waiting for this tattoo since January, and really for even longer than that. There are two shops, and we were at the one on Atwells Ave, which is just a beautiful shop -- I love it. Dennis was fantastic to work with and so kind. We had a really fun chat, and he even drove me back to my AirBnB when we were done! (I was visiting Providence to get the tattoo.) I posted a photo from my phone as well as the shot Dennis posted on Instagram. It's swelling a lot more than any of my other tattoos ever have, but I'm thinking that's because it's on my thigh. Otherwise, it seems to be healing fine. I'm so stoked on it!1 point

If I start on a sleeve within the next couple of years, I probably will have to budget for it in a pretty dedicated, week-by-week way, unless my line of work completely changes. If I don't have at least some savings put aside specifically for the purpose of getting tattooed, I feel too guilty to go ahead with it. Thanks for the neuroses, family.1 point

How did I miss or forget you were getting your torso done by Tomo. That is absolutely incredible and I couldn't stop looking at it when he posted it. Just curious. What kind of Noh mask is that? It doesn't look like the typical hannya that's often seen. Looks familiar but can't place it. It's really cool. One of, if not, my most favorite tattoo that I've seen of his.1 point

You'll have to excuse the quality of the image here as a combination of operator error and poor equipment. Couldn't be happier with how this turned out, done by @cltattooing at FTW Tattoo Edit: sorry if the images are huge, I have no idea what I'm doing!1 point -

can swimming in a chlorinated pool a week after getting a tatt hurt it?
daveborjes reacted to MadeIndelible for a topic
Seriously, what is it about tattoos that turns people into idiots? Just because there's ink in your bleeding, scabbing, painful, open injury, now that suddenly makes it okay to go into a swimming pool.1 point -
Never posted on this before but here is my barbershop quartet done by Steve Bryne at rock of ages Austin last July, it's not going to win but thought I'd share it with people1 point

Haven't entered one of these in a while so thought i'd enter the ring with my parrot by Chad Koeplinger from the Amsterdam Convention earlier this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone elses entries!1 point -
I agree that this artist does solid work, just not in a style that I would ever get. What I think bothers me most is that some of the designs would be better (imo) if they were smaller. Like the skele-dog and flower on the girl's back. So much great space there and it's all empty. Let's all just take a moment and imagine that the dog was actually a tiger and the flower was a giant snake. And they were fighting.1 point
