  3. Hi, here is a healed photo of the hell scene that Tim Lehi did on me last month. He is my favourite tattooer and it was so fun to get this piece from him. I also posted it in this months contest: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/lst-announcements-contests/6076-november-2014-tattoo-month-contest-page4.html#post105993 The size of the photo might be a bit too big, but I will fix it as soon as I can.

Not to make you all jealous, but to make you all jealous, I'm forcing Dana to show me his entire torso tomorrow. It's all Roper.

  7. Okay, we are six hours in of day 1 of 3.. Here are the first few shots. We're doing full back in three days, a third at a time, so we don't have to keep going over fresh ink from previous days :) Artist: Erin Chance, tattooing at Sacred Tattoo in Auckland, New Zealand

  8. Hi! I got my first tattoo and it was the most excruciating pain ever! I think kidney stones feel better than the tattooo I had! Anyway, I am using Saniderm to heal this big boy and I am at my 4th day! I can't wait to take the Saniderm off... well actually I can't wait for it to stop being sore most of all! I want to go back to the gym soon! Take care!

  9. Day one down! Started at noon, had a half hour dinner break at 8pm, then finished at 1030pm. Got so much done, but so exhausted! Will post a progress shot in the morning, I've gotta get some sleep - day two starts at 11am tomorrow! Sending you all "sit long stay strong" vibes for your sessions too!

  15. Thanks all! It's definitely a large undertaking! Currently into day two, about an hour in.. Here is a photo taken this morning of yesterday's progress.. Excuse the undies & the angle - my friend took this photo when I got out of the shower! Will add more as I can take them, working on upper back today so can be difficult to get good action shots via selfie!

  17. We are splitting my back into three sections, so will complete a third today, then a third tomorrow, then final third Saturday.. That way we won't keep going over half done areas, phew! So exciting! Am under the needle now.. And it's okay so far, but ya know how it goes!!

  20. I use this one for lotion - it's a little bigger area than the one you got, and has a nice bend in the handle. I can do my entire back with this. But I wonder about the surface of the pads with the one you selected - you want something very smooth like your fingers. The one below is relatively smooth and a little squishy but I still put it in a plastic baggie for smoothness. You might consider that depending on what it feels like. That being said - I never used it on newly tattooed skin. I managed to increase my flexibility over the last year so I can JUST BARELY touch every part of my back, so for the first 10 days or so, I only use my bare hands. Amazon.com : Aquasentials Easy Lotion Applicator : Body Lotions : Beauty Itching is so variable from person to person to area of the body to time of year, etc. Sometimes my back itching goes on for 3 weeks. I haven't noticed a correlation between the itch factor and the area covered each session. But yeah, trying not to scratch is insanity!

  28. Josh Hall "Gentlemen Tattooers" in Dallas did it. I planned to have this tattoo for at least 3 years, but I only wanted to have it once I graduated, got a job, bought a home, and essentially became independent! I am also a cat person and the panther tattoos meaning is freedom from oppression... well, I decided it was finally time to have mine done! It took 6 hours and I had to hold tight to the chair all that time! The lower back was awfully painful! I am planning to complete the bottom of the drawing, but now I am scared of the pain! ahah!

  29. I'd say just wait a bit. Fitness can be gained relatively quickly and you can do it any time you want. You're tattoo is forever and the period right after it is done has the biggest effect on how it will heal and age, etc. So, take it easy would be my suggestion.

    Why skull figures?

Am I understanding that your question isn't why are there so many drawings of skulls, but why do they have actual skulls or models of such on display in shops? One reason of course would be, as everyone pointed out, that they're cool. Another thing could be for drawing reference, if you have the actual item you can pose it in any angle you want and draw from it as a whole reference, using books or the internet as a reference can only give you so many angles, and maybe you don't want a 3/4 perspective, just a little off from that or whatever. With the actual item in hand you can angle it exactly how you're imagining and get it detailed just so.

  32. Yeah that Rubendall piece is definitely tibetan inspired! The skulls are adorned with smaller skulls, just like real Tibetan necromancer masks!
