  3. Hi, here is a healed photo of the hell scene that Tim Lehi did on me last month. He is my favourite tattooer and it was so fun to get this piece from him. I also posted it in this months contest: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/lst-announcements-contests/6076-november-2014-tattoo-month-contest-page4.html#post105993 The size of the photo might be a bit too big, but I will fix it as soon as I can.

Not to make you all jealous, but to make you all jealous, I'm forcing Dana to show me his entire torso tomorrow. It's all Roper.

  7. Okay, we are six hours in of day 1 of 3.. Here are the first few shots. We're doing full back in three days, a third at a time, so we don't have to keep going over fresh ink from previous days :) Artist: Erin Chance, tattooing at Sacred Tattoo in Auckland, New Zealand

  8. Hi! I got my first tattoo and it was the most excruciating pain ever! I think kidney stones feel better than the tattooo I had! Anyway, I am using Saniderm to heal this big boy and I am at my 4th day! I can't wait to take the Saniderm off... well actually I can't wait for it to stop being sore most of all! I want to go back to the gym soon! Take care!

  9. Day one down! Started at noon, had a half hour dinner break at 8pm, then finished at 1030pm. Got so much done, but so exhausted! Will post a progress shot in the morning, I've gotta get some sleep - day two starts at 11am tomorrow! Sending you all "sit long stay strong" vibes for your sessions too!

  15. Thanks all! It's definitely a large undertaking! Currently into day two, about an hour in.. Here is a photo taken this morning of yesterday's progress.. Excuse the undies & the angle - my friend took this photo when I got out of the shower! Will add more as I can take them, working on upper back today so can be difficult to get good action shots via selfie!

  17. We are splitting my back into three sections, so will complete a third today, then a third tomorrow, then final third Saturday.. That way we won't keep going over half done areas, phew! So exciting! Am under the needle now.. And it's okay so far, but ya know how it goes!!

  20. The "Latest Tattoo Lowdown" thread has gotten BOMBED with some insane tattoos lately, but for some reason last month's contest barely made it to a second page. Remember to share your new tattoos here as well folks. There's an awesome Last Sparrow T-Shirt to win after all! The rules: The tattoo picture that gets posted in this thread for November 2014 with the most 'likes' for the month wins! The contest starts on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month. Your tattoo picture must be posted in this thread (both tattooers and tattoo customers can win) in order to qualify. Include with your photo/post...tattoo artist name & tattoo shop. You MUST be the one who has the tattoo or did the tattoo. You can 'like' as many tattoos as you want. It can be a finished or in progress tattoo. You cannot enter the same tattoo in more than one contest.

  24. I'd say just wait a bit. Fitness can be gained relatively quickly and you can do it any time you want. You're tattoo is forever and the period right after it is done has the biggest effect on how it will heal and age, etc. So, take it easy would be my suggestion.

  25. What the...? Wow! Helluva first tattoo. Welcome to Last Sparrow and then some. Who did it? How long did it take? How were you wise enough to choose a massive panther right out the gate?

    Why skull figures?

Am I understanding that your question isn't why are there so many drawings of skulls, but why do they have actual skulls or models of such on display in shops? One reason of course would be, as everyone pointed out, that they're cool. Another thing could be for drawing reference, if you have the actual item you can pose it in any angle you want and draw from it as a whole reference, using books or the internet as a reference can only give you so many angles, and maybe you don't want a 3/4 perspective, just a little off from that or whatever. With the actual item in hand you can angle it exactly how you're imagining and get it detailed just so.

I totally agree, so I would never have posted the photos. A customer of him once told me that he is pretty mellow about people posting his work online though.

    The ladies thread

I just wore a tank underneath my bra, so the strap and band were cushioned. It was the thinness of the strap, and the edges digging in that bugged me, not the pressure. It was already chilly here the last time, so I could get away with another shirt over my tres attractive bra-on-top look, though, which I know not everyone can if they're dealing with work clothes. But if you have a convertible bra that works, I imagine that would probably be more comfortable and attractive the way all around.

Did a mind-blowing Kirin backpiece on Ichibay that I got the privilege to see once. Holy shit. It was so smooth it was almost more like a silk painting than a tattoo. The (amazing) bodysuit he did on Dana and the work he did on Dandylion are the only other things I've seen in person and then the handful of pics that we've all seen online and the suits in Bloodworks Really glad that you CAN'T find his stuff online.

There may be one or two backpieces floating around on the internet other than those, but other than that, you won't find much, if anything. And that's for a very particular reason.
