  2. Well, speaking of Scott, here is my shin/almost entire lower leg. It wraps in a way that makes it really hard to get a good shot. Done in one shot at the Pagoda City Convention in 2015. I'm posting from work and Photobucket is blocked, so hopefully these pics work out. Also, it should be noted that @embers and @graybones TOTM winning snakes are two of my favorite snake tattoos. They're incredible.

  5. New to the forum, had my upper arm done by two different artists. I posted before and after pics. First job came out great except I wasn't happy with the the raven, its faded and is huge compared to everything else. So I went to a different artist I found on Instagram and he added some things to take away from the raven. More tombstones, a broken gate, and some bats. These tattoos are a year old and 3 weeks old respectively. Overall I like the tattoo much better now, but I want to continue it around the inside of my upper arm. Came on here to see if anyone has ideas for me. The tattoo symbolizes loss, death and sadness in my life. I would love to have the other side symbolize good things in my life, like loyalty, and honor. Any ideas would be cool, and if I have to continue with the loss/death theme on the inside I will take ideas for that as well. Just want it to be seamless all around. Thanks

That was a piece price of $800. I would be pretty pissed if I had to pay a couple of grand, lol. He is slow but I do think because it's a cover up that the old tattoo needed some extra ink not to show through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. @suburbanxcore White Rose is pretty new, the guys at the shop said they just opened about 4 months ago. They specialize in traditional and there's SO MUCH good flash on the walls, I had a hard time deciding. http://instagram.com/whiterosetattooparlour Wes didn't do the panther, that was done by Chad Koeplinger when he came through DC a couple years ago. Took him about an hour and a half to do. This is a better picture I took of it when it was freshly healed.

  24. Some great tattoos posted on this page! Got this one yesterday from Jan Willem (@janwillemtattoo) at Bont en Blauw tattoo Rotterdam. Asked for a octopus filler and this is what he drew up. immediately said yes to his idea and this is the end result. Edit: all other work except the partially visible black skull is done by Jan Willem as well

  25. Healed lady I got from Ivan Antonyshev while he was guesting in Leeds last month. Spotted this design on the Mainstay T-shirt and fell in love with it. So stoked to get a piece from him at last.

  26. Got the suggestion to 'work up' to the chest piece I'm getting (gnarling scarring I want to get covered) so I went back to Brittany at Hot Copper for something else I saw and fell in love with. Think I'm going to have to keep adding to the leg, carry on with the outdoors theme I seem to have got going on It's completely round irl, the angle I'm standing at just makes it look a bit thin at the bottom end in the pic.

    Upcoming Tattoos

Me and the lady on the phone both said "March" when she asked when I wanted my appointment and I said I would need a little time so I could get my schedule for college, so we went with it. I only have so much figured out so far: Back piece, something Horitomo is excited to do with MonMon Cats, something Horitomo hasn't gotten to do at all or wants to do on a large scale but hasn't yet. I'm going in loaded with a notepad of ideas and references from my university library but I want to decide together. I have these very basic ideas so far, Fuujin/Raijin, Momotaro/Peach, Nekomata with Obake/Yurei inside. I'm still doing homework on it slowly but I ultimately want his wisdom on the subject especially since I don't understand the back as a canvas very well.

  29. Here's a little party shark I got from Scott Sylvia recently. I meant to post healed pictures but it's a difficult area of my arm to photograph. Thanks for looking! starting the left sleeve next.

  30. Made another Oslo trip last week to start a cover up on my lower stomach. While i was there i picked up a namakubi from Nicholas at Blue Arms. The cover up is ongoing and i don't mind admitting i'm very apprehensive about the next session! This was not a fun tattoo to get although Marius did his best to keep my spirits up and a visit from LST's own Mr @Iwar definitely kept me distracted from the significant pain!

  40. Mel, good to see you here I know your blog. Good point about the whole conversation aspect. I bore the shit out of various friends when they make the mistake of asking me about anything tattoo related. They get way too much information.
