  1. In the spirit of "fuck-it" I present my left leg. @gougetheeyes now we can feel weird together. Snake/torch by El Monga last summer at spider Murphy's Candle/Skull by El Monga March of this year at tattoo city Cattle Head by Stefan Johnsson Jan of last year at California electric Planning a panther on the knee at some point but it'll have to wait a bit. The other leg has some odds n ends on the thigh, but not enough coverage for me to feel it can hang in this thread yet!

  2. Blaming @Graeme for this one since he posted his hairy man legs on instagram. I'm sure those famous legs Stuart at Spider Murphy's has filled up has given everyone the itch to do the same.. Or seeing Henning's work on those meaty thighs of @ironchef if you're going the Japanese route. But I'll tell ya, I'm real happy with how my short little legs are coming together and thought I'd get the ball rolling by saying fuck it and posting my hairy dude legs. Kinda weird, I know. Maybe I'll get weirded out and edit out the photo... Maybe (definitely) @MrsGougeTheEyes will yell at me and roll her eyes forever. But fuck it, here's a shot of the front of mine. In the kitchen. Visible tattoos by Andy Perez (@Perez), Todd Noble, Oliver Peck, Nash Hogan, Jake Fraser, Scott Sylvia (@ I forget your LST name brother), Bailey Robinson, Sophie C'est LaVie.. There are some on the back and some on the sides that are tough to see but this will suffice for now. @slayer9019 I know you're squidding it up slowly but surely and @else I just went back and read your intro thread. Totally totally awesome, especially with how everything's gone. (It's here for anyone who wants to take a gander.. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/initiation/3283-changing-way-i-see-myself.html) Now let's see those legs!! (So I don't feel so weird..)

  3. My pegs, tattoos by RHW (snake and rose), Cris Cleen (lady in the mirror), BHR (vulture head), Carolyn Le Bourgeois (snake, Niña Blanca), Scott Sylvia (candle burning at both ends), and Nick Colella (eagle and flag). No plans but to fill them up with rad tattoos.

  4. At the request of @polliwog , here's that tattoo from @cltattooing . This was after it was all healed except for the smoke, which later lightened to where you can see the outlines.

  5. Credit should go where credit is due, this idea actually came from @BrianH Anyway, here's my legs, or the start of them anyway. You can't actually see most of what I have on them. The panther rose was done by Chad Koeplinger, the ship is by Ron Henry Wells, you can see a bit of a swallow done by Bert (I don't know his last name but he goes as "Bert Monster") who worked at Tattoomania in Montreal when I got that tattoo, but now works out of a private studio, I believe. You can also see tiny bits of a rose and a snake done by Tony D'Annessa, and a tiger-faced hannya done by Danny at Tatouage Artistique. More towards the back of my right leg, and totally out of view is a piece of Doc Forbes flash done by Chris Hold who tattoos at Sacred Heart in Vancouver. Not everything on them goes together, but I like my legs because it's been a lot of fun getting those tattoos. I'm waiting to hear on some time off I requested from work to go to Barcelona, so hopefully I'll manage to add something else to my legs from El Monga or another one of those Aloha guys in July.

  7. Hey guys!! Long time no see, eh? ;) I was just thinking about y'all, about how much I missed LST. I've slowed way down the past few months but I'm still hard at work on the squidpants project. It is *super* hard to get good pictures of one's own legs... the best I can do at this moment is link back to a picture I posted in the fall. You can't see all of them in it, and there are 2? (maybe 3?) more since then. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/4394-your-overall-look-tattooed-person-page19.html#post81060

  10. better option than "Hello friend/stranger/significant other, do you mind taking some photos of me without pants on so I can share them with my internet pals?"

  11. Tipping conversations on the internet are the WORST. @polliwog - feel free to ask the artist what they'd prefer re: shaving! I've only had one actually let me know upfront that I should do it myself, a couple have said they don't care either way, etc.

  12. I totally feel you. So glad it's finished! Here are the photos, btw. Done and done, yay!

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but can we talk about something more exciting than money? Like, I dunno, baked goods? Sexy hairy man legs? (I love that almost every picture appearing in the widget right now is of hairy man legs.) It just seems like the topic of tipping has been exhausted. Perhaps it's not my place as a non-moderator to say this, though. Hair removal is actually one I've wondered about - if it's not a part of your body that's usually shaved, is it better or worse to shave beforehand?

  16. It's been six weeks since the last session, but today we finally got to continue on my back. At first we just wanted to do the colouring of the Kitsune, but we even managed to put all the blue in the coat. All this was done 4 hours (of agony :) ).

That's pretty high praise coming from you... I (obviously) really dig that tattoo, Lehi's tigers are incredible.

Did shoulder to shoulder, I thought we would have more progress but my right shoulder took a lot of black. Used a 21 (?) on me I'm assuming it's 21 needles. Pain wasn't awful But I am red this morning.

  24. The scab I was complaining about fell off yesterday, and there's no damage to the tattoo. Itchiness is 90% gone. The tattoo is 12 days old and it looks great, although I only have one other tattoo so I don't have much to compare it to quality wise, this one was definitely less of a hassle to heal because of Saniderm. I'll take more photos in a couple weeks when the onion skin is gone.

  30. I am not trying to derail your idea, but if it's a back piece have you seen The woodblock and giclee prints from the guy doing these? This one linked is samus. I'm so in love with it. https://www.ukiyoeheroes.com/products-page/woodblock/infestation-woodblock-print/ His stuff is unreal and I think would translate well into a serious tattoo. Just a thought to help your idea along. Also browse his stuff, the final fantasy 6 one he did is probably my favorite.

  36. That'll be a fun one for the kids to see at the water park! Last time I went I was getting a nasty look from a parent for a nekkid pinup on my leg at eye-level with their son & daughter.... This'll trump that.

  39. Different cultures, different expectations I s'pose. See, in Australia - well my generation anyway, we show respect a complete different way, through gesture. I tip my tattooer every week! with a couple ice cold ones & a chat before we begin. Old time respect ;) Fuck! we don't even like talking money. We do it once & move on :)

  40. @misterJ - faaarkin solid mate. Really looking forward to the progress on this! @Cork - the full back defo fucks with the head at times. I remember smashing mine, at least one session a week sometimes two just to get the fucker completed. @Ragen - I fucking love this! That's all I can say :) Nothing!! beats a full back tattoo, nothing in this world, except maybe a chopper!...oh, and maybe a pint of the black stuff.

  41. don't shave. If you do it yourself its possible that the area could develop a rash etc before you get to the artist in question. If its the legs for men, you can clipper it beforehand but don't razor it, let the artist do that

  42. Thanks man. His back pieces are top notch. I love going in every few months and checking out his ~8' wall space totally overflowing with to-be & in-progress back stencils. So much respect for that kind of dedication from both tattooer and tattooee alike.

  45. I spend my days and nights stressing out about planning out my body suit. So far I only have 3/4 sleeves on each arm and an in progress thigh piece. Biggest issue is thinking of ways to keep everything flowing together nicely. Right now my plan is to have my front left side be Fall (maple leaves and maybe some chrysanthemums) front right side will be spring summer (cherry blossoms and peonies). Of course none of my planning is necessary since the artists do all of that hard work but it still fun to day dream about a body suit.
