Reallllly bad picture, but I got this lady from Steve Turner while he was guesting at Live Free. I'm super pumped on it.

So Monday was the second session on my dragon back piece. There were definitely some interesting moments in it that were less than fun, but I am very happy with the progress and can't wait for the next session at the start of September.

Hey, it's not brilliant, but not bad enough to go into the 'worst tattoos ever' thread either, I'd say ;-) I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you find fantastic tattooers in Spain (are you willing to travel anywhere within Spain? If not you might want to be a bit more precise...) and then it's probably best to go and see someone in person to get a professional opinion. Good luck and welcome!

When I first started researching tattoos I had a bunch of dumb cliche symbolic type ideas. I looked through a bunch of online portfolios looking for an artist that made tattoos similar to my idea but I kept thinking "wow these japanese pieces are really cool/powerful. i wish i could get something like that...." Then I got a koi half sleeve, then some traditional pieces, then a hannya sleeve, more traditional, more japanese. So I think the solution is to force your cousin to look through portfolios and instagram accounts that are overflowing with great tattoos.

I drove through West Chester yesterday, im actually only a few miles away. Beautiful little place, but there for a minute I thought it might wash away last night! And I finally booked my first appointment of the year, which I realize is very slacking. Its with @cltattooing in Oakland in a few weeks, should be pretty rad!

It really isn't that terrible. Having it reworked by a more qualified/experienced artist is probably a better option than complete coverup or removal. Also i just googled Marjoca, Spain.... that place looks beautiful.

[emoji106] I'd probably say the level of intoxication should be high with all parties involved whilst participating in any form of bizarre drunky blunders, although admission of such activities shall remain strictly confidential. My 9 year old daughter sets up tattoo booths, lines up all her colours and charges 50 cents for custom designs. All hearts and arrows [emoji4] I sometimes forget to wash them off and rock into work with a little texta tattoo slammed on the back of my neck.

You should have added that being a viking has nothing to do with how well-groomed your beard is, it's about HOW WELL YOU FIGHT. I wouldn't want one of these vegan milquetoasts having my back.

A hot shower definitely. Do this every time, have done for years. When working my back, I too was in the ocean a couple days after a solid sitting. Just made sure I washed under the fresh showers to rid myself of excess salt, and happy days. No dramas. Again, not a practice I would undertake, it was just one of them things at the time.

Hereby banned for using one of the worst words of all time!

Thank you @cltattooing :D I'm very pleased with them. I must get round to posting a photo of it all healed. And my leg & foot. It's been an exciting couple of months, tattoo-wise!

Never tried a bath, but I always either soak a towel in really hot water and press it to a fresh tattoo, or stand under a very hot shower for a bit. This usually hurts worse than the tattoo itself, but the heat pulls out the excess plasma and gunk that leads to heavy scabbing. The stuff that usually seeps out for the first day or so. Im sure it's the same concept with a hot bath.

Rock of ages with a dragon added in! I'll probably post a picture on instagram after all the lining is done to see!

I think I've found a design for my knee coming up on the 25th with Franz Stefanik. Had a hell of a time figuring it out.

Yeah, that shop looked pretty dope. Looks like their artists really know how to use color and I definitely want a lot of color on me.

@Jack Wright Where in Spain are you? I just got tattooed at Aloha in Barcelona and I would enthusiastically recommend it.

Hey no need for conflict I have taken both of you opinions as good advise and no by local I mean a actually tattooist studio! I think I'm gonna try have it re worked see if someone in my area (Spain) can help add more detail and maybe cover a couple parts up is necessary I've always know it didn't look brilliant but now I've shown it to people who know about tattoos it's made me even more paranoid about it considering you guys have said it's shite which to be honest it is

Is it inappropriate to let your drunken friends color in the outline of your unfinished tattoo with sharpies? And how inappropriate would it be to show said pictures of said activities to one's tattooer? ;-)

Getting most of my Calf done in a couple of weeks at Off The Map Northwest by Henrik. 2 days in a row of fun times.

I found some in Danville around Memorial Day 2012. Full selection just like this. I ended purchasing a big bottle of the "Red" (notice the flavor is only listed as "Red"). After a long night of drinking while the wife was out of town, I opened her up and figured "what could it hurt?". I can tell you, it hurt.

I believe it is a Japanese tradition to soak for a short time in a hot bath after a tattoo session. And many LSTers have shared that their post tattoo routine includes a hot bath. "excessive" is the key bad word. Light application of lotion works for most and is usually part of the recommended aftercare instructions from most shops.

My back is now officially done! :cool: We had a little 1 hour session today, which was totally brutal unfortunatly, probably a lot of places weren't healed enough from the previous session (about a week and half ago ;-) ). Some statistics : My backpiece was done in a 6 month period in a total of 31 hours :cool:

You have tons of options. Including covering it up with a bad ass panther.

I'm doing a guest spot in Bmore this summer so that should give me a chance to go up to NY and see that. - - - Updated - - - Skulls | California Academy of Sciences May 16th to November 30th. If any of you in SF decide not to see this I'm gonna slap you when we meet in real life. I'm gonna be making a visit later this year specifically to see this and bring a sketchbook. Tomorrow the admission is free.

A multi-media installation shows how Tibetan medicine is used today. To @MoistTowelette, @Killercook76 and everyone else, we here at LST would prefer if you keep the price of your tattoos or quoted tattoos between you and your tattoo artist. Pricing is a touchy subject. If you want to know how much a tattoo will cost, go talk to the artist and get the tattoo. Throwing prices out really doesn't help people because it really is a personal thing between you and the artist. I will say though the person I went to with the highest quoted rate, has been the cheapest of all the artists I've been to, and the cheapest artist I was quoted was the most expensive.

I just finished a session with Garver and it was worth every penny!! He drew up my tattoo in the same day as the consult and was nothing but humble and professional through the entire process. His rates are not what has been posted here on this blog! His fame has nothing to do with the fact that his work is outstanding!

ok here's mine. was easier than i thought to photo my elbow with the help of a mirror and my iPhone. done by Chris David, then of TCB tattoo toronto, now he works in BC i think in victoria somewheres. People are always shocked he did the heart red and that i haven't had it touched up. It looks a little darker in the photo because I used lotion right before it was taken. It could use another pass on the red, it's a little blotchy when I bend my elbow all the way, but it's in there pretty good. looking at these pics makes me realize i need to get some more shit around that thing!
