  1. I haven't made an addition to this thread since page 30 something. My time has finally come! Richard Stell, guest spotting at Smith Street Tattoo in NYC. It was an awesome experience. Richard is hilarious. He had my abs cramping up at one point from laughing to much... or it was the hypoglycemia setting in. Regardless it was a lot of fun.

  2. This is my new leg by Robert Ryan. Had a great time at Electric on Thursday, and this is definitely my new favorite tattoo. I have a feeling I'll be back there a lot...

  3. My hubby is not on LST yet anyway but I am excited about his new tattoo...this was after his 1st session w/Kim Saigh a couple months ago. I don't seem to have a pic from his second session but a lot of black was added and some cool swirls. Tomorrow he will get color in the flowers...

  7. Took a trip to San Francisco and decided to get a piece by Jeff Rassier to fill some empty space. I asked him to do whatever weirdo tattoo he wanted, as long as it wasn't too vulgar... ended up with this Fu Manchu head with a serpent body that fits perfectly. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier!

  11. Well, here's some progress. Probably only got one session left (touchups, getting some brighter purple on the bottom lady's robes, all that jazz). A long, long way from where it was 9 months ago :D As always, artist is Rachi Brains at Black Throne (ETA: somehow I always stuff up these attachments... click to embiggen)

    Relationships and tattoos

My girlfriend has pretty much no interests in tattoos but is pretty supportive of me getting them, but when I mention in a very distant hypothetical future getting my back and torso done she doesn't seem to be super fond of the idea. I don't even really think that I want to do those things at this point, and wouldn't be financially stable enough for a long while, so it's not an issue really. However, she isn't crazy about eagles, no matter how many I show her, and I think they are one of the best tattoo images there is. I don't think she'd go as far to tell me not to do it, but I'd hate knowing she doesn't like any of my tattoos (yeah, yeah, I know they are supposed to be for me, but still).

  32. When I met my husband 10 years ago I only had 1 small tattoo and he had none. I started getting a couple more here and there. Last summer I got 2 tattoos pretty close together. He and one of his friends came with me for one of them and we all ended up getting one. He was 41 when he got that first one. After getting that one, he got the bug. I booked my Kim Saigh appointment for Feb and when he saw my beautiful roses, he decided to book with her. Now I have 6 tattoos and he has 2, but his second one is a half sleeve --his 3rd session w/her is tomorrow. So he went from having none and not even seeming that interested to kind of surpassing me. He is already talking about what he's going to get for his other arm. I'm psyched. I've influenced him and his arm looks rad. I'm really happy that now we share this interest.

    Latest tattoo lowdown.....

I saw this on her instagram yesterday and said, "FUUUUUUUUUUCK," is what I said. Sometimes, I see a tattoo so good that it almost makes me mad that it's on someone else. Almost. Really, though, I'm just happy that it exists. Enjoy it, because it's one of the best eagles I've ever seen.

  37. Great time getting tattooed by Valerie yesterday. It really comes through how much she and Stewart care about what they're doing. Weird moment recognising the guy from Stewart's blog with the Saga/Reinke sleeves - those are some awesome looking tattoos (sorry if I'm being weird again and you're reading this, ha!).

  45. My first tattoo was put on by Stano in Daytona. I was 17 and drove down with a couple of scary older skinhead dudes who barely tolerated me. Got the comic character Judge Dredd on my shoulder, because this sort of thing happens when a dyed-in-the-wool nerd tries to be a tough guy - "I know, I'll get a tattoo of the biggest badass in my *pushes up glasses* comic book collection!" Anyway, like 10 years later that goddamn Stallone movie came out and I walked around groaning every time anybody saw the damn tattoo until a couple years back, when I buried it under this:

  50. Alright the answer is here for why this tattoo mistake was posted though all of you have pointed out many new mistakes making it fun, thanks. Here's it is upclose.... Look at the banner and just above that the leg. Now follow the line of the back of the leg(above the banner) behind the banner and when the line reappears to what should be the back of the ankle it is the front. Last time I checked calf's don't bend like that organically, hahaha. So there is one of my tattoo mistakes on my body. Who's up next? Bring the tattoo mistakes pictures! Thanks for weighing in on this everyone who did. Until next time...have a good day! Lochlan
